That could be - it's already been confirmed that you don't need to have uncovered 100% of the land to get the title (I've mentioned before that I didn't have Dunes completely done before getting the title). Since I'm interested in completeness, why don't you post your zoomed-in map of The Falls so I can see the area I'm missing?

There's also a couple areas of the Great Northern Wall mission that he doesn't have that I do(it even totalled almost .3 or .4% when I got them).

Thanks 84175, looks like we are given a bit of leeway on the exploration... which is good...as I cannot get into the low level arena now with my L20 ranger. Seems there is a certain "level" of exploration that will equate to the title of 100% uncovered. Works for me.... *trots off with explorer's ground-eating gait....*

Just check the thread that Sohgin linked to. The map is the full Tyrian area in zoomed in (about 8000 by 6000 pixels).

A guildie and i have been doing this for several days now about 3-6 zones a day. we are both working on the title with our warriors first as it seems to be the easiest to achieve with them. We both set up with running skills and rebirth just in case one of us gets pinned in and ends up dieing. I have found that areas that we ahve perviously explored and thought to be clear normally yield .2-.4%. It just takes wall crawling along each zone and finding those little spots of fog. Obviously there are multiple zones we will have to fight our way through but for now we are checking the zones and adding them to a list as cleared by doing this i have gone from 88% to 93% ( of course there were a couple larger areas i had not cleared. I never knew just how big the area outside fronteir gate was until yesterday.

I'm willing to group with anyone who is doing some exploring with my ranger. It gets boring with the henches especially if I am just running. To make things more interesting I've been testing out new builds as I fight my way through maps. Takes about an hour per zone, but it is alot less boring and can be rewarding. After clearing that lot I'm at 97.5% - I made just 1.2% there. I must be missing some borders of maps in ascalon and maybe north shiverpeaks. This is going to be really anal to finish, but it's so close I can't really rest until I've done it

Btw, after getting all the bonuses for the jungle missions, I recommend anyone who needs a few percent to do them again. I had someone who was going for cartographer in my party while doing them all, and together we revealed over 5% for him. The missions are so maze-like that you can miss areas, and if you go into every corner you can actually uncover that little bit more.

There are also a few places you can uncover with an assassin, but I don't think they count to the 100% since they are impossible without the assassin

Wanted to say, "Thanks!" to Evilsod and Avic for pointing out my map deficiencies in The Falls and The Great Northern Wall. There are a number of good maps starting to pop up all over the place, and using those as guides I cleared the areas I was missing. As a side note, it was pretty fun to stroll confidently through the mighty Charr army on my way to map their staging area. Last time I was there I was running my tail off to get away from them... this time I barely noticed them hacking away at me!

I also wanted to write to give some hope to those still going for the title. For the record, I got my 100% title before completing all of these areas:

1.) Dunes of Despair (a very sizeable chunk of the bonus area)
2.) The Falls (tiny bit of the SE corner)
3.) The Great Northern Wall (the large staging area the Charr emerge from near the end of the mission)

So with two decent size chunks left undone upon my "completion", the message here is that you most definitely do not have to have every nook and cranny of the map cleared out to get the title. That means that those stuck in the 95-99% range probably have more than one area remaining to explore (which means more chances to discover what you're missing and get your title). Stick to it guys!

But then, you have several competetive areas mapped, that many of us don't have and now no longer can get to.

That said, you're right of courrse, you don't need 100% to get 100% . I assume ANet designed it so that it is possible to reach 100% with all areas that are acessible now (and hopefully still a little leeway).

I'm at 97.7% now and I'm certainly not giving up now! I'm still missing a few areas I know of, but I'm not sure whether those will make for those 2.3%. Right now I'm using this map you posted here as a guideline and it served me well, so far. If you could do me the favor and post your current map in that format (zoomed out), but maybe with the interface hidden (press Shift + Print Screen), I would be very much obliged.

You do realise its much easier to go look at the link posted on the last page containing an 8000 by 6000 pixel map of the zoomed in Tyria. And theres a couple of areas on the map that i've uncovered. Fort Ranik gave me at least 0.1% that hasn't been revealed on that map.

Luckily i have the old Droknars Team Arena and the old Lions Arch Competition Arena's mapped out, so i should get a bit of leeway (thank god!)

I'd be happy to. Here you go:

Evilsod: When you said you uncovered a part by Fort Ranik that wasn't revealed on "that" map, were you talking about mine or the other one linked on the last page?

I meant the link on the last page.

I also meant Nolani Academy, not Fort Ranik

I found a small glitched area in Talus Chute (eastern side) that could lead to an extra .1 or .2% exploration.

The main thing thats pissing me off is that i've uncovered about 3 or 4 things the 100% map in that link had, yet i'm still 1.1% off!

Are we absolutely certain FoW and UW DONT count? Because i can only think 1.1% will be the 3/4s of UW my trapper ranger couldn't reach (namely Twin Serpent Mountain and beyond).
