Angry Dzagonur Bastion, I hate you.

I've been trying this quest for around 2 hours now and I'm getting so damn frustrated. All i hear is 2 groups to the left, one to the center, and you go to the right side, and help the center when needed. This isn't working for me for some reason, and when i try and only focus on the generals, i only get 2 before the huge mass of enemies left take me down easily.

500gp to anyone who wants to help me.
Pretty, pretty please?!

Hey, my brother an I just finished doing this one in HM with just the two of us an 6 heroes. Can you give a little more information on what heroes or henchman you are using? that would help some.

Our strategy was a little different than what you have said. We sent all three groups to the left side. Even in HM, having all three together will allow them to stay alive long enough for you to do what you need. Generally we found that if you only sent two in a direction, a MM was necessary to flag with them to keep them up, so we opted out of that strategy. We then stood half way up the hill between the two other structures and pulled the incoming enemies to our position. This got us through the first part.

Once you get near the end of the first wave (before the bosses spawn) you want to make sure that you are not too far up the hill, so pull back a little. If you agro the monk boss right away, you could have a little difficulty. Flag your team where you are and pull the warrior boss down to your position if you can. At least in HM he likes to chase, so that is to your advantage. Kill him. (This is why you don't want to agro the monk boss early, as it will draw out this fight significantly). Once the warrior is down (try to do this quickly) you can go back and fight off any enemies that got behind you to the structures. Then make sure to recapture those structures.

Next, go up to fight the monk. at this point, you only have to worry about invaders from the next portal (I think the paragon boss??) getting by you if they run to the middle structure. Take the monk down.

Again, do a little clean up and recap the structures. Then move on to the last boss.

If you are not with a friend, make sure you have a MM hero. You need the added damage and defense that the minions provide. If you have it, use Jagged Bones as that hero's elite. Throw extra points into Curse on that hero to get SS if you don't have jagged bones. Alternatively, if you have a second necro hero, bring him on curses as a second.

Bring a monk hero. probably LOD build.

If you haven't brought two necromancers, bring a support paragon (standard build can be found on PvX Wiki) This could even replace the monk, as it will keep the henchman monks going.

For henchman in Elona, I always take Herta, Devona, Khim, and Mehnlo, although you could swap out Devona for another fighter like Gerhaz.

Try something like that out and see if it helps at all. Again, there were two of us and 6 heroes, so it might not go as smoothly for you, but if you are in NM you should be in better shape.

Hope any of that was helpful. Good luck!

Knowing whether you're doing it in HM or NM would help.

There was another thread on this recently, and it's in the right forum too.

The general idea seems to be to have all three Whispers groups go to the left in HM, or two to the left and one center in NM. Fight off groups coming from the right and center. In NM, I killed the Monk, then the Warrior, helped the dying Whispers with the Ele, and finished with the Paragon. For HM, I've found most people saying to do the Warrior first, then the Monk, then the Ele, and finish still with the Paragon.

Are you doing this in HM or NM?

for HM my strategy was to send all 3 groups to the left, then I and a friend + 6 heroes bounced back and forth between the middle and right. When the bosses came we made sure to be already ontop of the monk and killed that group in under a min, then we let the rightmost group cap the right side so the boss would walk down and fight us there, which makes it easier to fight him while defending the middle. After you finish the warrior boss the other 2 bosses should be simple.

Bring 2 MM heroes and a monk hero. Flag the monk in the center, several steps in front of the stairs (between the stairs and the bombard, but a little closer to the stairs). Flag 1 MM to the left, slightly toward the center side of those stairs, and the other to the right, slightly to the center side of those stairs, say about 1/4 of the distance to the coresponding bombards. Put 1 disciple/guard group in front of each set of stairs. These heroes will do a good job of covering the stairs and the bombards, and will help the guard groups survive.

You and the 4 henches (it sounds like you're H/Hing it--I did this with only 1 monk hench, but bring a self-heal too) hang out in that area for awhile to thin out that first wave of enemies, and then go to the upper left to take on the ele general. He's the hardest of the 4 IMO, so if I'm going to fail the mish due to him better early than late. Watch his AOE stuff since your henches will want to bunch up (you could flag them to one side of the general while you attack from the other). When you kill a general, you need to run back toward the fort immediately before the guards and your heroes are overwhelmed, and before the bombards start going down. Again, thin the enemies, then head up to whichever general you choose to take on next--and after you kill him, again run back to the bombards. The big mistake a lot of ppl make here is killing 1 general and then moving onto the next general--you need to head back to the bombards after each general kill, even if you haven't killed off the general's whole mob yet.

If you ever get close to a wipe of your 5 man group while you're attacking a general, you can bring in the calvary by flagging 1 or more of your heroes back to you. Of course, very risky since the bombards and stairs are now largely unprotected, and it will take your hero a few seconds to reach your location. But you do have that option, and its not much of a risk once you reach the last general. Good luck.

I H/H'ed it in HM by myself (me, 3 heroes, 4 henchies) getting masters. How I did it was by sending all 3 groups to the right side (the side with the warrior boss). At the start of the mission, when groups of 1 marg + 3 kournans come at you, watch when you get a warlock followed by a executioner. When this happens, kill the executioner, leave the minions to kill the kournan bowmen, which takes a while due to whirling defence. Run off to where the ele boss spawns. When the minions kill the bowmen, the boss will spawn and you can kill him before he can get any offence together (if you interrupt his 300 dmg invoke lightning anyway). Next, kill off a few margonites, and aggro the next boss (the paragon), and kill him quickly. Then completely kill off anything in the area. By now, the center gate will be under attack, defend it, and head up to kill the monk boss. The warrior gate side will be out of defenders (or close to it, depending on how fast you kill the bosses), but with only one line of attack remaining, it's easy to just follow back up to the warrior boss and kill him. Lost no gates in the process.

For builds, I ran W/P Godmode, Sab's Triple Necromancers (unmodified, 1 WoR, 1 SS, 1 MM), Devona (Charge is good for breaking aggro), 2 Monk henchies, and the paragon henchie.

I did it in NM last night myself. I took the Wiki advice with some tweaks for my own playstyle.

I went with me D/* (I only had PvE, Dervish and LB skills)
Master of Whispers (my own MM tweak)
Olias (duplicate of MoW)
Dunkuro (Pure Healer build)
Devona
Cynn
Mhenlo
Derv Hench

Sent two squads to the West gate. Sent one to the Centre and posted a Necro there. The rest went with me and we mostly concentrated on the East and assisting the centre when needed.

After the Generals spawned I started with furthest East and took him down, mopped up. Next in line and mop up. Then I grabbed the Necro from the centre and took the last two.

I didn't get Master on this one, but it was close. If I'd had another person instead of Hench's I think I would have done it perfectly. Still, once I found a composition and builds that worked for me, (only a couple of attempts), it was fine.

I did that too I sent all mine to the west.

Though I think I had a rather close call

The Eastern side got breached to where all they needed to do was go right in and at the time I had 1 more general left and I thought I saw a group make their way in so I chose to go right for the general charging in and just killed him in time.

I defended the bombards as much as I could until I found the right time to go for the Generals but didnt pay to much attention to the eastern side when I thought I had removed the threat after failing to prevent it from getting breached.

If your still struggling with the mission add me to your friends list "Fire NeMiSiS" or "Devilish NeMiSiS" and i'll help you free of charge. As they say .. the big thing is to use MM and have a good damage dealer to take out the bosses.

I always send the npc's to the right as the warrior boss is the weakest threat on either side. then split the team to take centre+left. when the bosses spawn take out the ele first as he's the biggest threat.
