Default Can Thirsty River be completed solo?

At the moment all that I own is Prophecies, so I don't have access to any heroes. I have heard that it is possible to complete Thirsty River with just the henchies - does anyone know if that is true? I have not been able to come up with a "henchmen strategy" that works - I get blasted every single time!!

Yes, it is possible to complete the mission with just henchmen.

Either try harder, or make it easier for us to help you.

Yes, I've done it with just henchmen many times, with several different professions. All missions and all bonuses of Prophecies and Factions are possible with just henches; don't know about Nightfall, because by then I had heroes.

What profession are you, and what tactics have you tried? Is it some specific point you need help with?

Yes, to get better help, you'll need to provide more info regarding your profession and build.

As others mentioned above, yes, the mission is doable with henchies. The key to victory is interruption.

When using the level 17 henchies only, with the monk boss, I recommend kill all outside the hut first, then taking the Monk, Priest, and Bow group. The monk boss will only heal the priest and the bow. He will not heal any of the other foes. Start hitting the bow, so that the monk boss concentrates on him first, then go the priest and just keep hitting him with all you have till their energy runs out. Then kill the monk boss, then the last bow.
If you can take heroes, I recommend an MM, a monk, and and Ele. It should be pretty easy with heroes.

Heres a video of a friend of mine doing the entire thing in 9 minutes flat with just 3 heroes:

I've beaten and gotten all bonuses in Proph with just hencies, so as others have said, it is possible. If I remember correctly, the only parts that gave me problems were in the 3rd base fight. At the beginning, go strat to where the king is because usually, one of the groups will aggro onto him and start killing him. When he dies, the bonus is failed. The other hard part is the healer boss next to the priest. You either have to be packing tons of dps or have the ability to interrupt him. Otherwise, with just henchies, you'll be fighting those 2 until you either get lucky, get respawned on and zerged, or resign. A minion master would help in this mission, though the only truly difficult part of this mission is the 2 priests, and I believe interruption works better.

My "stuck" character is a lvl 20 Ranger / Monk, but it has been so long since I played him that I will have to look at what skills I have him equipped with!
