Default Has mallyx been made harder?

Sure paraway SY/TNTF etc team builds are easy enough. but i play ursanway as its near impossible to find a team on different profesions that arent required in a traditional balance build (eg a ranger) so i play ursanway to avoid the time and stress of forming a Pug group in DoA.

Has mallyx been nerfed in some way to make it more difficult? heard many players say that it has been and tried roughly 5 times and got him down to about 25% before the monks crumble and additional foes are spawned and wipe the party leaving the big monkey to sit happily on our corpses.

Could easily farm through mallyx using a build such as [SMS]'s but i doubt a ranger would be accepted and thats the only character that i have in DoA atm.

Oh yes... Mallyx has been made harder, much much harder... you can thank me for that *purr*

I'd guess that it was probably nerfed... it's easy to sneak in an undocumented mission change while people are in an uproar over other, more noticeable changes - though I haven't actually noticed myself, I have something against killing Mallyx...

I was monking for an ursan team for Mallyx this morning; the big purple radioactive monkey went down in less than 30 seconds. No deaths. Never went below half of my energy either.

Barrage and Splinter Weapon are actually pretty key to the success of the nearly patented [SMS] Balanced groups.

seems no different, I use hero monks most of the time if guild monks are not on and they are still doing great, and the monkey died at around 20-30 secs like he does every time.

just don't attack him with weapons, use shouts or cast enchants and you're set.

Getting better monks will solve the problem.

Infuriating Heat was a kickass elite the first time we killed Mallyx, and having Distracting/Savage Shot available for Unyielding Anguish is quite nice. However most PuGs don't use warriors for damage so something like Broad Head Arrow would be your best option for the waves. But most pick ups would probably make you go Splinter/Barrage which would work nicely for the four generals.

Your typical PvE monk is used to not having to manage energy because BiP has been essential for elite areas, as well as a bonder preventing some of the damage. Good luck finding decent monks.

SMS is pretty flexible with most of its Mallyx builds actually. A ranger probably would be accepted.

Ok then, racthoh fancy giving me a pm when your going to do mallyx?

( btw when running ursan all pve teams are told not to use shouts/enchs/weps etc yet somehow the pugs seem to always fail )

Just one little problem though. That and DoA just isn't as fun as other places; haven't been there in months.
