Default Whiteout

Hi everyone, I was vanquishing yesterday and came across a ele boss called Whiteout. I targeted him and put pain inverter on him and switched targets. I kept on wiping and tried multiple methods but to no avail. If you have been Whiteout, plz tell me how. His group's AoEs complete devastated my group especially in the tight walkway he is on.

I'd probably run ward v elements because of the tight space. Also, any of these: arcane conundrum, glyph sac-maelstrom, frustration, sum of all fears, choking gas/practiced stance, barrage with warmonger weapon, broad head/epidemic (or fevered dreams), technobabble would all be fine choices for party members. I'd probably focus on the boss (and pain invert him as well), since he's faster casting and deals more damage while hoping to AoE interrupt the others. Keep in mind that dazing not only makes things easily interrupted but also makes them cast more slowly. Combining daze with a slow cast hex cant really make this more powerful. Admittedly, I haven't done this recently, but there are some ideas for you anyway.

Just have your monk hero (if any) pre prot you, and charge in first, flagging your heroes a bit behind you, taking the brunt of the damage, then they come in and destroy everything while the enemies skills are recharging. Or bring a daze+Epidemic ranger.

Just use a sin hero max out crit then give him way of the assasin (elite) way of the master critical eye and then have the sin hero use a recurve bow then have him carry the ff bow skill pre cast favorable winds and distrupting accuracy prep then just peg him to whiteout he will keep him perma interupted due to the non stop crit. Then just take out the mobs near him one at a time. Thats what i did and worked out just fine.

He can be annoying because he Shatterstone spikes, Like said before, Pre-prot + Nukes are usually enough, even in HM.

The pre-prot method works a treat. Done it several times with that. Just put PS on someone, have them go ahead and get ready to heal them. Wait 10 secs and the group will waste most of their spells, then the rest of you go in clean up.

Same method works for the wurm boss (ssith is it?) just to the east of Whiteout. Although pain inverter with a minion master is fun against him

Take gwen with you. She's a small little emo with a real badass way of interupting with the right build.
