1. Go to Oelfestead
2. Bring up your Player Menu, P-key
3. Look at all the Ursan Norn Farming groups and join one (Hard Mode)
4. Make sure the group has the "A Path to Revolations" (Cipher quest) active.
5. Be an Ursan or a Monk (monks will get you in immediately)
6. Follow the experiance person and don't over aggro and know where the pop-ups are. There is an optimum path to follow.
7. Hit all the shrines and normal bosses (optimum path)
8. Wait for the Banner that you have killed 250 to flash (not the counter)
9. Go in and kill all Ciphers
10. If you have not gotten the last shrine go get the last shrine.

Advantages
1. One build will work on you
2. No messing with books, order of books, and turning in books
3. No messing with Heros and builds or re-skilling for each mission

Overall time for a run 30-45 minutes for anywhere from 5000-9000 Norn points depending on bonuses. Consumables speed up the time, but are not necessary. Can use hero monks in a pinch, but human monks are better. Rince and repeat as necessary.

Is this posted somewhere?

That way someone can work it out slowly with H&Hs to learn it bfore possibly embarrassing themselves or worse...

Think of the Monks who won't get pissed off.

Thanks, that should be helpful for a lot of ppl.

All they need is a general idea of direction and then learn the pop-ups so as not to be a hazard to the team as a whole.

What are the generally requested monk builds (just at a general level, not individual skills)?

HB monk or LOD and generally both with Arcane Mimicry.

The below is one version of HB. There are a number of options, but I do like having a Hex Removal skill to help folks through the water hexes.
[skill]Healer's Boon[/skill][skill]dwayna's kiss[/skill][skill]Ethereal Light[/skill][skill]heal party[/skill][skill]glyph of lesser energy[/skill][skill]rebirth[/skill]

Other Single healing or skills that are options for above are
Remove Hex
Cure Hex
Orison of Healing
Signet of Rejuvination
Vigorous Spirit

Also another hard rez such as
Rez Chant
or if you go rit secondary
Flesh of my Flesh
Death Pac Signet

Arcaine Mimicry can also be put on if the other monk has LOD to enable two elites for a time.
[skill]arcane mimicry[/skill]

Most pri. quests can be done alone with heroes and hench.
2 pri. quests must be done with 2 man or even better with more.

Good luck...

I think the poster means Hero Handbooks, not, Dungeon Guides.

The Kawasaki might help but then you would miss some of the nooks needed for Cartographer...

I get do it in about seven hours. Four hours would be possible if I burned consums, no breaks, and all human party it.

doing NM books until r8 Norn Then Norn Farm or Complete HM Books are best bet. Get r8 Norn easy in 1-2 days.

Drop a NM Dungeon book in at 79k faction and you can skip straight to r9.

BTW, if you do Oalfestead run (with quest) in Varajar Fells in HM, do not go back to the Imp Boss, just keep going and keep your Rampage going all the way to the Cipher bosses and you will get nearly 10,000 Norn Points. If you use a Essence of Celerity, just before the Giant Cave, you can usually do this in just over 30 minutes. Its done in HM so Level 8 and books do not matter. Messing with books is for the birds IMO.

So if you do this with a good team you should be able to get nearly 30,000 Norn Point in about 2 hours, with 3 runs. Grind I know, but little time to set up, just get err done.

Monks will have no trouble joining teams. Low level Ursans may, but if you are prepared it will help and be prepared to wait. Also for mele classes with low energy pool, such as War, its best to have a zeolous weapon. Spell casters should not be using range weapons as an Ursan but should use fast mele weapons, swords, axes, etc.

Everything in gwen, hm and nm, can be done with just heroes/henchmen.

To summarize what I discussed.

7. Hit most of the shrines on your way(optimum path)
8. If you get a rampage carry it to the Cipher bosses. (this often means do not go back for the imp boss).
9. Be sure the Banner that you have killed 250 to flash (not the counter) has popped, before you kill the Ciphers/Aspects.
9. Go in and kill all Ciphers
10. If you have not gotten any of the shrine go get the last shrines and pick up any items that will fit in your inventory.

The HB build I had earlier could be more like the following:
