so is the best way to farm sunspear faction to start at the Sunspear Great Hall and just farm the stalking nephilia from there?

I usually go out from Kamadan to get the SS for Plants, then go to Great Hall to get the Insect (killing plants along the way) and then go to the next outpost to get the SCALE.

Doing that gives me more than 150 points per run (whole map).

The best bet to farm sunspear point is to do the Remains of Sahlahja runs in the Desolation. The details for the run are at the bottom of the link's page.

He's talking early game.

Bluefeather has a good method, however, don't worry about farming them too much. Never hurts to clear an area when you're there, but between quests and other locations you'll end up, you'll easily break 1000 before you leave the island (after which, you can't get bounties any more anyway).

Once you leave the island, the bounties get bigger, and you'll still be able to quest to get more anyway. I got to rank 7 with little effort beyond a few extra mob agros along the way, and I'm not even half-way done with Nightfall.

Basicly, try to do as many quests as you can in one area at a time, grab every bounty, and kill things.

Sunspear point hunting also melds well with cartography, since you're running all over the map killing things, might as well finish clearing the map.

Humm, no.

And the best run is from Gate fo Desolation into The Sulfurous Wastes because yields more points an hour. No LB points there, but Spearmarshal is more sexeh than "some crap word Lightbringer".

Actually the best Sunspear points / hour rate is the Holdings of Chokhin in HM.

5850 pts for Holdings of Chokhin
5760 pts for The Sulfurous Wastes (from Gate of Desolation)
4886 pts for The Sulfurous Wastes (from Remains of Sahlahja)

Have you actually tried that instead of just looking at wiki?

That run involves dealing with a hard hitting boss, which can easily kill a few members if you don't have a competent dazer/interrupter in the team. Not only that, but melee gets crippled and it slows the run. I've tried it myself and yields about 4k points an hour (H/H), and is way more difficult than just c-space in The Sulfurous Wastes, which is all done in Junundu, and can actually be done faster with real people. Not only that but you can level heroes as they all have same health inside wurms.

But feel free to try it out.
