Hence the "careful luring" bit I made that mistake once. That was a looooooooong fight.

Just finished Ooze Pit... Got kinda disapointed on how easy it was. I myself (warrior ursan) didn't even need to hold aggro heh.. Anyway, for an easy clear of the Ooze Pit, just use 1 fire nuker. SF or SH, I used SH nuker with MS and some other skills like Ward against foes and without him I prolly would have wiped all the time hehe.. Had 1 sabway SS and 1 sabway healer. Then the hench Lina, Mhenlo, Cynn and Zho. Darn easy with that setup...

Many ppl prolly new of this but posting for those who have problems with this particular dungeon.

Ooze Pit can have some heavy spikes in HM if you aren't prepared. To all the people posting about breezing through dungeons in NM, lmfao - it's NM, none of them are what you would call challenging. Some of them change into whole different animals in HM (e.g. Vloxen).

Since it's so hard to find a competent PUG group to do HM dungeons these days, could someone rate the dungeons in terms of do-ability using only H/H?

All in HM, since no NM dungeon is a serious challenge. Also not including farming builds (600/smite, etc.)

Fronis Irontoe's Lair
Secret Lair of the Snowmen
Arachni's Haunt
Ooze Pit
Cathedral of Flames
Bogroot Growths
Bloodstone Caves
Raven's Point
Darkrime Delves
Heart of the Shiverpeaks
Sepulchre of Dragrimmar
Oola's Lab
Rragar's Menagerie
Frostmaw's Burrows
Catacombs of Kathandrax
Slaver's Exile
Shards of Orr
Vloxen Excavations

I havent completed all of these dungeons on hard (all on normal mode except shards), but catacombs isn't hard even without 600/smite, and i don't remember Vloxen being much of a challenge, just a bit long (the end boss was a bit of a pushover)

otherwise i like the list, Frostmaws is a bitch in hard mode

In my own personal opinion, Bogroot Growths should be Normal.

Bogroot's difficulty depends on whether or not you take Giriff's or Tekk's War. Tekk's war features a Rit boss that will Spirit Rift you into next week, but Giriff's final boss is a mesmer that has anti-caster hate (translation-smack him around with a physical!).

Regarding Tain's list I think Oolas and dakrime should be replaced. Darkrime is such a pain in the ass. I hate jotun with a passion after that dungeon.

Makes a huge difference if you are referring to HM or NM. I didn't have much trouble with Vloxen on NM, i think I did H/H. But it was a bear on HM. Took a few tries.

I agree with solstace, Vloxen was a breeze in Nm....
Hm took a couple trys. Rragars as well was the only other dungeon I had the same problem . Slavers I wouldnt say is to difficult, just because theres so many people doing that dungeon that getting it done shouldnt be a problem.

Easy
Frontis Irontoe's Lair
Secret Lair of the Snowmen
Ooze Pit
Oolas Lab
Arachani's Hunt
Darkrime Delves
Bogroot Growths
Bloodstone

Easy-Medium
Rragnar's Menagerie
Cathedral of Flames
Catacombs of Kathandrax
Raven's Point
Sepulchre of Dragimmar

Medium
Heart of the Shiverpeaks
Slaver's Exile
Vloxen Excavations

Hard
Frostmaw Burrows
Shards of Orr

I classify very easy as 2 man H/H able w/o many deaths (0-3) 45 minutes or less completion.
Easy bumps up the deaths and effort, possibly making you take a more balanced or Ursan heavy team. 45 mins -1 hr completion
Medium takes coordinated effort w/ a reasonable amount of deaths. 1hr-1hr 30 min completion.
Hard takes extensive planning, but I, personally have done the dungeons w/ guildies very easily at times. 1-2 hr completion.

Actually, that list is invalid if you use Ursan. Then everything is Easy...

But yeah, h/h or as a balanced team most of this is true, although Slaver's is HARD with h/h, CoF is rather Easy, Raven's Medium and Sepulchre is Easy.

this thread is kinda funny to me since I can do every dungeon with 2 players 6 heroes and not counting slavers in under an hour...

and just from my perspective as someone who has done them all many many times, vloxen frostmaw and slavers are the hardest (as in they take the most human players for a smooth and fast run.) I'd count Shards and Rragar on that list except I can do each of those on my monk with 2 heroes... so they don't quite count...

He regens slowly, but you basically just gotta keep wacking away at him.

And he won't fully "die"-he'll get to that point, turn green, bounce away and turn into a bunch of little magmus'.

I agree the HM Slavers and Vloxen are tough, but Kathandrax Boss is whats killin me. I cannot beat that &*%#^$
Between the damn rolling balls, the explosions and the skills he uses, its frustrating as hell.

First it used to be laughably easy, since Ilsundur's health was bugged and he would die from the first wand hit.

Then the bug was fixed and he became possibly the hardest dungeon end boss. I had to design a gimmicky build just for that particular challenge. Was nice, because of the perceived difficulty related end chest spoils including astral staff fetched some good money.

Then ANet saw the low number of completions and decided to lower the bar by removing Ilsundur's health regen.

Right now you can simply zerg Ilsundur, he will eventually go down. If you are not interested in that there's always the Vengeance build that I have described in the dungeon related thread. It's a pretty fail-safe way to handle the situation with minimal amount of gimp.

Remember, he can't cast spells if he's dazed or knocked down!

We've usually done it with someone running something similar to this:

[dragon slash][brawling headbutt][for great justice][enduring harmony]-->this will give you almost 30s of continous knockdown and a high DPS to boot.

Other skills that easily slotted into an existing team build are:

[stunning strike], [spear swipe] (pair either one of this with [aggressive refrain]), [bha] (with [rapid fire]).

The key to Kathandrax is realizing that there are alot of casters in that place, so designing your build around a little caster hate is a good thing.
