Yeah, that's the most dangerous part of the mission. The trick there is to let the cutscene play in full (as Wiki advises) and snag the near group of Fists immediately after. Things are much easier after that.

This is always my favorite kind of answer to these sincere requests for advice and help. What is the guy trying to tell us? What is his advice? Is it... (choose one):

1. Delete your character and create a Ranger.
2. Give up, only an incredible player such as myself can complete this mission.
3. Contact a player named "My Ranger" and have him take you through.
4. "I had some advice, but I lost interest and forgot what it was after I said that it was not too hard, and I posted my introduction to the subject anyway"
5. This mission can be easily completed with nothing more than a Ranger, heroes, and henchies.
6. "I was going to write a few more paragraphs of suggestions, but my mom called me for dinner"
7. "Just in case you didn't know it, Im great"

Rangers can daze and blind; bring those, and apply them to the proper target to win. I'm assuming you play Ranger from your profile. Maybe something like this:
[Broad Head Arrow][Epidemic][Volley][Savage Shot][Distracting Shot][Throw Dirt] + 2 more, like [Natural Stride][Resurrection Signet]

Above build is a bit overkill on shutdown, to be honest.

edit: [[Winter] is a waste of a slot; it has been bugged for months. It only converts damage to cold AFTER calculating the damage vs. armor, so it won't have any useful effect on Titans.
[[Conflagration] and [[Greater Conflagration] + [[Winter] are especially bad, as they will change damage to fire, the damage will be calculated with the Titans increased armor vs. Fire, and only then will the damage be converted to cold.

*Jumps up and down* Oh! Oh! I know, pick me! Pick me! Is it.. Six?

In all seriousness, patience is the best attribute to have points in where this mission is concerned. The only time you need rush, is when the Seer is about to get slaughtered by the occasional bad spawn of the Titan too close to it.

If, however, you still require aid, simply ask for it.

When you get to the portal area, the spawns will move down towards the portals. Be patient and watch the large patrolling group. When they near the left portal run across the area to the uphill - it makes a corridor where you can pull and kill. I also find it easier to close the portals from right to left, probably because its easier to pull mobs from the hill.

The biggest threats are the Sparks (interrupt their spells) and Hands/Fists. Kill those first where possible. Cold damage and/or Blind works well on most mobs if you take Elementalists (Fire damage is not very effective in this mission).

I recommend taking 2 Hero Hybrid (Heal & Prot) Monks setup as Mo/E with [Frigid Armor] or Mo/Me with [Mantra of Flame].

I H/H Hell's Precipice twice yesterday: once on my warrior and once on my ranger (after a failed PUG).

My warrior: uses sentinel armor and armor of the great dwarf for high elemental resistance. I would flag my H/H slightly behind and aggro the sparks of the titan, take most of the initial damage and then charge and release the H/H flag at the same time.

I used Tahlkora [WoH healer] Acolyte Jin [Interrupt Ranger] and Master of Whispers [SS] , Mhenlo, Lina, Cynn and Eve.

Used an IDS and +10 vs fire shield.

At the portals I used a long bow to pull patrols and then once portal has only wraiths I charged, not that it mattered much because I goofed at Rurik and aggroed the 2 groups of hands of the titan and still didnt have any trouble dealing with them.

With my Ranger I used Punishing Shot, Distracting Shot, Read the Wind, Dust Trap [great against melee], pain inverter, troll unguent, breath of the great dwarf
Used Tahlkora (WoH healer), GWEN (inspiration/domination : interrupt with empathy), and Master of Whispers as SS
Same Hench as Warrior. With careful pulling it was easy, and yeah Dust Trap was superb. Gwen managed to interrupt the mesmer boss's Cry of Frustration . My PC crashed while fighting the Lich and I logged back seconds before my H/H killed him

Btw you can pull Rurik and the Sparks away from the Hands and once Rurik killed --> Cut scene ---> dont have to deal with the hands.

I might be wrong (no comments please) but i think you only need to kill rurik and the sparks to trigger the cutscene at that point. The fists will die automatically. Therefore, try to pull them off the ledge back to the path where you spawn and take them out that way

edit.... should have read the post abot me in full before answering

I hope it's as easy as everyone is making it out to be <_<

I won't say it's an easy mission but it's very doable when you know the basics.
Watch aggro, don't run into sparcs without protection and remember that the necro titans will break up into two warriors. Killing the necros too fast will give you a hard time. The bonus guy is somewhat hard to safe if you are not prepared or rush when you get a bad spawn. But that's more a hard mode problem. Try to balance your team against fire ele (spike) and warriors, those give most problems for many players.

That's about it, just keep steady pace and don't rush.

Sorry for kinda going offtopic, but the rewards for completing this mission; that you get a medallion which you can trade in for awesome end-game weapons, do they be the same even AFTER the 3rd year [suckey english]anneversiry[/suckey english]?

With no points in water, I've found that just one cast of Malestrom was enough to shut down every group of sparks that I encountered. Convientently enough when they stop to cast MB they're already in a nice little bunch and will just stay there and attempt to cast MB over and over till they're dead. 8) Also pulling and flagging skills are needed to make this Mish.

I've helped several of my guildies with this mission, tons of good advice here. Especially the pulling. One thing that works great for me that I didn't see mentioned, if you have EotN, get/use Pain Inverter. I'm a SH nuker and PI helps alot. If you still need help after this weekend's birthday event, look me up, I'll be more than happy to help!!! Especially now that we can get a new green for beating it lol. Happy Hunting!!

That made my week lol.

But any how, what i usually did was when the titans would span out from the lava I would kill them there. So they wouldn't join the other grps and make a bigger mod. And try to lure the monsters away from the portals and wraiths. Also I'd take at least 3 monks just in case, if your not that good yet its better to have an extra.
