Default Sunspear Skills

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone know how I could get Sunspear Skills without getting a secondary profession. I know you used to be able to do it, as I used to play my Mo/X all the time till I stupidly got a secondary profession, and had Seed of Life on him. But now the Hero Skill Trainers say they can't give me skills until I get a secondary profession.

Anyone know a way around this?

Thanks for the help.

^I thought you had to get a secondary profession to progress in the game. Once you get to the sunspear sancutary, you can change profession at will.

there are profession changers at the great temple of balthazar
you can change there if you have ascended/got weh no su (closer to the stars) and something else from nightfall but never understood that well lol

i'm not sure i understand the OP.
are you saying that once you got a secondary prof, the hero skill trainers won't give you anything until you get your secondary prof? if that's the case, it shounds like a bug.
but your original question was how to get ss skills WITHOUT getting a secondary prof.
can you clarify on this?

OK here's how I understood this: Yes you can get ss skills without second profession but they will only show when you have that profession... Mo/E will show seed of life and intensity I think... and I really think you need to choose a 2nd prof to proceed in game regardless of ss titles.

Actually, Prophecy characters can unlock the core professions via their respective quests. Don't have to pay 500 gp, unless its to unlock assassin, ritualist, paragon or dervish

To clarify the confusion over his second profession, it's possible in NF to skip having one entirely. By getting ferried you can bypass this requirement, only missing out on a few main quests which are ultimately non-essential.

you can get run to the docks but cant do the mission without doing the quests beforehand which all in all require a second profession although you can skip to other campaigns and do missions there you cant continue in the nightfall line til you get a second profession

Shouldn't it be a benefit to unlock them all anyway, given the skill hunter tracks, and all said of that? Plus if you don't put any points into a secondary profession, is there really any benefit anyway. (I'm not seeing a downside here, other than not having skill point access to the Primary profession attributes.) I'm not seeing a downside here.

A benefit for having a secondary with no points?

Let me introduce you to some of my friends.

If you mean a benefit to NOT having a secondary... Mmm... Nope.

Sorry this response is long in coming.

To clarify, I do not have a secondary profession, yet want SS skills. the Hero Skill Trainer refuses to train me the skills, demanding that I get a secondary profession.

I do not want a different secondary, as I have none atm. Call me stupid or crazy, but it's just what I do.

Thanks for all the responses.

^ it's possible to make it through the game without a secondary, but it requires some trickery. Playing through the game normally will require to you pick a secondary profession. If the trainer is requiring you to get a second profession, then I don't imagine there is a work-around.
