Angry Bogroot Growths - HM with a Sin?

Ok, all I have is an Assasin. How can I do this freakin dungeon in Hard Mode? I'd like to keep it to just heroes and henchies...any ideas?

Unfortunetly I only have the one Necro Hero on this charecter...so Sab Way is not an option for me...

i'll quote myself from another topic who asked for the same advice

and Gwen for interupting

we also took some dp removers cuz the patriarch caught us too with surprise but with good luring you can pull the groups around him and he's no problem
you can basically run [ursan blessing] *hides for flames* and find someone else to play nuker, the dungeon itself is quite easy if you just take it easy and be careful
also remind that taking the quest from Girriff is easier since the boss will just be an easy to kill mesmer
and if you only have 1 necro hero take this one: [livia is hot;OANEQTxW+5gGqCL16RABPoIqqA]
with 2 of those you'll have some serious pressure getting taken of your shoulders

First off-I'd recommend you run the MS/DB spammer. Lots of mobs down there, so you should get quite a bit of AoE from it. In addition, you can go A/W and use [[save yourselves] for more armor for your team. This is a fairly standard build that can be found over in the Assassin forum.

Second off-Minion bombers down there are just awesome sauce. So many bodies

Third Off-LOTS of spiking down there. As awesome as Sabway is, it will never keep up. Take a Hybrid WoH healer.

For henchies, I'd take, Mhenlo, Lina, Herta and Zho.

And remember to take Giriff's War for the quest-it's much easier.

My guild does this dungeon all the time and I can tell you it can be a nuisance.

I would recommend having another player to do this with, preferably an Earthshaker warrior to keep KDs on the Glimmer mobs.

Sabway is pretty bad here - we normally use...
Dual WoH hybrids
A/* DB spammer
W/* Earthshaker
N/A Sinpromise
Minion bomber
Imbagon
Splinter-Barrage Rit

Your damage needs to be pretty high to overwhelm the glimmer monks. Some try to daze them, but the problem is that often they're spaced around so that it doesn't really matter.

if you want to stick clear of imba-builds run something similar to...

you with some form of daze - dunno - not a 'sin expert but something that can be kept up fairly often for eles and final bossy

heroes = monk with WoH (and prot spirit) - PS is vital i found to surviving ele spikes :P
MM - jagged bones with warmongers wep (WW to be applyed to you)
SH ele nuker - with rodgorts invo and mark of - with a hard-rez

hench are meh

2monk - 1 fire ele 1 mes I used

ran something similar on my daze ranger so daze 'sin with warmongers should be fine IMO - not a hard dungeon actually just watch the aggro and pull with a longbow <<<newb tips but a key to success in HM

If you take an ele, I'd be inclined to use more of a [[unsteady ground] earth ele.

Something like:

[unsteady ground][eruption][stoning][enfeebling blood][glowstone][glyph of lesser energy][earth attunement][optional]

For the blank, [[ward against melee] or [[ward against elements] would be best. BUT if you're using [[save yourselves], the element ward won't be of much use since SY would override the armor bonus.

Oh-and make sure to have some sort of hex removal-don't need a whole lot, but those plants down there can get annoying. Something like [[cure hex] will go a long way.

EDIT: Instead of [[eruption], try [[earthquake].

Just out of curiosity what is your average total time of completion?

Or as something Snow forgot. As we use mesmer heavy teams in bogroots [[Diversion] works a charm. Very useful for both [[Glimmer of light] and [[Toxic Chill].
