torc'qua GoA DoA l-LamE.
Wow, I'm pretty disappointed. I spent a while building a nice 6 hero 2 acct build, and attempted the elite nightfall "QUESTS" in NM.
It was obvious from the start, that the design of these "torment" zones was atrocious. WTF - no save of maps? It's real irritating traversing the "outpost", trying to find 'what is where' - but eventually, I get in.
Same old story. Aggro is apparently now 2 diameters (not initial aggro, the aggro after combat flag). 2 in 3 times I'm lucky enough to clear the first group (fails are when some group 2 aggro bubbles away comes running (not their ranger spirits)). Nothing drops, 20 minutes I get maybe 2 whites and some cash split 7 ways. Have to wait for full energy regen each encounter. When you approach groups, they seem to *ALL OF A SUDDEN* run away, towards other groups, requiring more wait time to -=<SPLIT>=- them apart (GL with that BS).
This is so rediculous. It's obvious they spent a lot of time "NERFING" this area, in order to shut down OP builds. This has made normal PUG/hero gameplay impossible. Now you need the 3-4 CRYWAY and SMITEBOND/PERMA crap. So retarded, really.
Oh well, I don't really need pretty armbraces/etc - so NO BIG DEAL.
Talk about killing playability. I expected a challenge - not MOB clustering/mega aggro (NM). Sure, I guess I could have waited 2-3 minutes each time this happened for them to *KINDA* separate - like that matters, when they aggro from 2.5 diameters.
Build? OK, critique it:
[build=OgESc5MTMGPGwgghxgFH5iCb]
[build=OANDUslfSLVKgHV1DBEJgVV7EA]
[build=OAhiYwh8Uza2SzJ3wkaXVTuA]
[build=OAhkYgHcoIqTewOUG2dWiyZVN5C]
[build=OANEUsh994EzqCohTX9IgY0qqA]
[build=OAhkUoGYYKmTMDjJNncDzxZVN5C]
[build=OQWjUumI6OOhgsQ+CXhHxub5NA]
FWIW, I remember back about 5 months ago, I cleared the area to the same depth using only 3 heros and myself (and a major substandard build - no EotN/Factions PVE skills). WHATEVER, NO BIG DEAL.

you take this game way to seriously and i will tell you why.
This area has not been nerfed in anyway shape or form granted the enemies act differently but this is easy to over come
i vanquished the whole area in HM with 3 sabways 2 hero monks one earth hench and 1 fire hench wit no cons
creating 2 accounts for this and failing is a bit of a waste also has it is a LB arye don't u think LB would help you as well ? I would suggest lb 4 or above.
if u get really really stuck pm in game and i'll give u a hand

i'm pretty confused by what OP is trying to explain. where are you questing? in the desolation or in the realm of torment?
i see some domain of anguish in there too...
is this just a general bitch about later game content in nightfall or about specific areas?

I think hes bitching that the desolation is badly set out and that city of torqua is actually hard (omg an elite area).
+1 before close.

Ok now that I have said this this thread can be closed.
Also:
No Hex Removal, Infuriating looks uselss sides from paragon who should be able to keep up everything fine, Para is not an Imbagon, The ranger is not a very goof build, you are splitting between discord, sabway and some other stuff, choose one, DoA is an Elite area, no duh you cannot just waltz in there and win. If you cannot clear desolation with this in NM you need to learn some basic game techniques because 6 every decent heros should wipe everything in normal gameplay with ease.

WAY too much healin imo, i understand that this is an elite area, but won't this be much easier if you drop 2 heros for some more pure damage dealers? earth shaker could be good, never hurts to keep the casters on there asses, or a VoR mesmer.

Yeah I guess it's time to close thread already - GG all +1.
Oops, not desolation - DoA/GoA (torment). Sorry abt that slip of the tongue, I'm sure it made the whole thing so totally confusing (TLDR is more likely the truth, prolly).
Oh, and 2 comments about no hex removal? First of all, that was not the problem AT ALL (TLDR). The problem was that unaggro'd mobs would literally START RUNNING to other mobs as soon as I tried pulling them - and *THEN*, they'd wait 1-2+ minutes there before splitting. I got 22 max titles, so not a nub but not a god (7 others are pretty close [60-90%] to max). Second of all you might revisit my skillset [Hexbreaker Aria]. When I was able to 'split' the group, I had no problems taking them down fast (20-30 seconds or so). My complaint is mainly about the huge wait times involved in order to approach a group. I play to engage, not to wait 2-3 minutes for the opportune time to engage (waiting doesn't include ~20-30 seconds travel time).
I also forgot to mention how irritating it is going into/out of that stupid *torment* area (2 different map clicks).
Sure I was kinda venting - but yeah, kinda what I expected - few reasonable responses, and mostly smack-talkin' flamers. FWIW, the ranger build is to keep SY (+100 armor, adrenal req) up virtually 100%. The LOL at the toggled monk vengeance skill is kinda odd...
As I said originally, the smite bonder exploitation route (with cryway and/or permasin) should be used - but I wanted to go at it from a total build standpoint...

You wanted a challenge and here you are venting when the challenge blows up in your face?

That is what unaggro'd mobs do, don't they? They are free to move around. If you always try to pull them when they start moving, of course you'll have a hard time.
Never had the problem of them running away. Only times I see that happen is when the puller doesn't pull correctly. You just don't seem to understand the game enough yet. and big aggros are so fun.
Every group normally has a patrol path, have you studied them yet? If not, of course you'll be surprised that mobs patrol into you.

This made me LOL'ed. Using titles to measure your skill? no wonder.

Doesn't seem to me you have a good solid build there. Using a paragon for conditions with epidemic to fulfill the requirements for discord? A necro with bloodsong? I agree with Kerwyn that your so called "total build" is a mix and mash with no focus.
You might not know this, but there are team builds that can be used with ease that isn't built around cryway / permasin. Look around the forums, i believe i saw quite a few of those. Heroway / PUGs is possible, very. (just that PUGs are normally a pain to be in an elite area)
All in all, you should play more and get more experience, then tweak your total build and try it again.

That's handy - I don't need to search for justification.
