I love the "We rezzed! Let's run back across the mobs inbetween to go fight the beast that killed us! Damn the monsters in the way, I want REVENGE!" henchie mentality.

I hate Lina so very, very much. She gets hit by some melee, and starts to kite. Now, she kites all over the place, and neglects the whole team while doing so. She usually ends up right in the middle of all the little red dots. I try to get close enough to her just to hear her dying screams... you deserve it you dumb cow

I believe hero/hench have been out on a few drinking binges with Kilroy ><

H&H are more aggressive if they are set to attack instead of guard, making them more prone to chase things beyond your agro range. This can be helped by setting your heroes to guard instead of attack, but there's no such function to change hench behavior. The best thing you can do is aggressively call targets, so the hench doesn't have an opportunity to select its own targets.

Thankfully I've only had an occasional problem with Devona doing the Leeroy thing and she's always pretty good about coming back to the flag if I set one.

I did have to put Dunkoro on an unpaid leave of absence though. I took him out the other night and the bastage refused to res me even though I flagged him right on top of me and keyed his rez skill with me as the target. I ended up having to flag him over to where the prot henchie was also dead.. far far away and let him rez her and then SHE rezzed me. I guess Dunk's issue was that she was dead, she had a higher priority than I did regardless of the fact that I told him to do otherwise.

My biggest gripe though has to be Mhenlo. I dunno if it is some sort of joke by Anet, but he seriously get's stupid around female enemies. I had to restart Ruins of Morah a few times the other night because Mhenlo was apparently trying to put the make on Varesh while the rest of us were right where I put the flag up near the gate. He seems to have similar issues at times around any mob that has a "female" in it, regardless of species.

I know he's like the Mac Daddy Pimp of GW, but damn.. save that crap for when you are in town, Dude!

[QUOTE=xcenic]and about devona...dude i just make one solution for that: "dont take devona or talon heach again" or untill Anet dont Fix they Brain.[QUOTE]

easy enough said but what am i gonna do for a tank in the meantime?

i play as a warrior, i use 2 necros(mainly) and 1 monk as my heros or, 1 necro 1 monk and 1 ele or, 1 mesmers(gwen) 1 monk and 1 ele, the rest are made up of henchies.

oh and just to make shore Prophecies henchies were working i successfully did glint in hard mode today/yesterday(see Glint Defeated Thread) and did not have 1 problem with the henchies, but am having the same problem in Night Falls and GW:EotN and i also had no problem with Devona in Factions at all either, so its only Night Falls and GW:EotN

P.S I'm having no problems with my heros(any of them), although i did notice tahlkora(who is set to flight) did not heal me until i was very close to death but kept rest healed(mehnlo was dying like crazy), Oh and i have noticed(always have) Mehnlo has always sucked, not 1 campaign he has been good in, atleast alesia was a good monk(in prophecies)

To the above, I believe 'twas a joke

Anyhoo, I don't use Devona anymore, use Gehraz or Talon, not done much factions or proph for some time, as she'd insist on running around and aggroing people when I was going in completely the opposite direction, then coming to show off what she'd caught, and the people had been peaceful till she came along.

However, I have had to revise my opinion of Mhenlo slightly. Still don't like him, but he did a godo job with Tahlkora keeping me alive against a mob of about 10, with some rez in it, so whilst I still don't like him as a "person" I've grown to respect his ability. Slightly

I've called them that sometimes, and worse. I still use Devona, Talon, Lina and Mhenlo though as they have done me more good than bad, but when its bad, its VERY bad.

Mhenlo makes a great tank, sometimes. It's really.. fun to watch. usually cornered by a huge mob trying to gank him. I just had this happen again in the golem dungeon. Last time it happened i remember thinking to myself "Damn he's tanking more than both warriors combined.".

When i was messing around with Varesh (HM) she KO'd mhenlo first, twice.

I play with h/h all the time, vanquishing or dungeons like Slaver's.
True, they play a bit differently now, micromanagement and a lot of flagging can be important and they seem to react a lot faster.

I often get the impression that they are a little bit messed up cos they still have some old orders in theyre head, simply give them a new order.

If a lot of people are complaining about them then they might be broken but i personally like the way they play now and maybe a-net intended it this way?

try using the flags if they run off, they usually snap out of it.
Lately it seems that some heroes (Jora, for example, and Zhed) are completely ignoring flags.

Mhenlo has evidently cleared his skill bar of everything except his res spell. I watch him standing there doing nothing and making Tahlkora do all the work. One battle, instead of fighting I just targeted Mhenlo to see what spells he was casting.

He didn't cast anything.

(On a side note he also seems to think he's a pimp, which I disagree with.)

I pretty much stopped using warrior henchies/heros all together except when the mission requires one. I think the last straw was when I was heading towards the next mob and noticed a little green dot on my mini map running in the exact opposite direction. Needless to say a roaming mob followed the henchie back to us and we got attacked from both sides.

I fired Dunkoro to. Xandra now resides in the healing spot. I got tired of watching Dunkoro stand around and pick his noes all day. The problem with Xandra is she heals all the time unless I disable certain spells or keep moving, but at least she's doing something.

I'm happy with olias though. He's a great MM. Vekk isn't bad, and even though Zhed likes to roam, he manages to hold is own. Well for me at least.

I do not think Arena Net intended for ur henchie to be fighting a MOB, and for no reason(didnt switch target) she(devona)/he(talon) will run 2cm out of aggro and lure another mob back(from 1 order of fighting the closest monk in the 1 st mob E.T.C)

and i deffinaitely dont think that arena net intended on henchies/hero's pulling Mob's(way out of aggro) for no reason, after promising for so long they were gonna fix mobbing from happening (accidental mobbing)...but it seems for no reason either devona or silverwing will get a new mob out of no where, or a new mob will be a way distant away, soon as u touch a mob(far from the other mob) the distant mob runs in and mobs u, even when its atleast an aggro bubbles away from the patrol area/spot!!!

i think there may be a few bugs and glitches A-Net may need to mop up, so lets all get them a dust broom.....

P.S if ur monk isnt doing anything try putting a BUILD on him, or atleast one that heals, and if u notice he does nothing but fight then heal(only when almost dead), PUT him on flight!, as for me i preffer tahlkora and all other female heros(ele's being the exception)

Yeah, there is something seriously broken with hero's.

I always have a res chant on my Tahlkora disabled so that I can manually res when I really need the res in battle, but otherwise she doesn't stand around trying to res chant while stuff is dying.

Anyways, in short - she will res whenever she feels like it REGARDLESS of whether I have the skill disabled or not. This isn't something that happens once or twice.... this happens ALL THE TIME. Using skills with big X's through them - not normal behaviour.

Olias doesn't use dark bond anymore. Midliners tank. Warriors go all over the map. There is something really wrong with the AI - its fricken terrible.
