Default Frontier Gate explorable area HM

Okay, so I went out there with a guildy and this place is nutz. We had about 10 hammer using grawl on us in seconds and no way to hurt them as they had a lot of ulodytes.

I don't mind a challenge, but with only 4 in a group, this is a bit much. Do we need the FOTM build for all hard mode areas in prophecies low end areas? Is that why it's so difficult? I've done plenty of hm areas and missions, but I'd rather try to solo the end mission on any campaign then go back out there lol *goes off to read on perma builds*

Side note: Word in game is to forget hm for prophecies, it's unbalanced and most avoid it. True or just sour grapes?

I did it pretty easily with discordway heroes. You just need to pull grawl out a little bit because so many darn patrols hit each other.

Discordway Heroes? Ok this sounds like a special build, I'll check the wiki.

Discordway, Sabway, Paraway (Racway) and smiteway are generally the best builds for vanquing HM, with exceptions for certain areas.

Or even caravan down from TOA clearing all areas with 8 in party. The full route will clear 19 explorable areas and may take nearly 14 hours from start to finish. I did this last year with heroes and hench boring but works if you have a full day spare.

Try doing it by starting from Ruins of Surmia and careful pulling. I found out it's easier this way, after many failed attempts from Frontier Gate.

I used Sabway heroes (Defile Flesh on Curse Necro) and a little help from Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support

Yeah my buddy and I both bring him whenever we need more peeps. It's funny fighting stuff above us and sending them up to beat on the enemy. LOL And it seems even Charr in the lower Tyria areas cause them to last longer also.
