In Ruins of Sumaria mission it might be worth mentioning that one of the monuments for the cities quest is located within the mission. When you go to raise the draw bridge for Rurik it is across the moat at the top of the hill just before you enter the arch.

**BTW Great Job on the guide -- you are a far more patient person than I

Are you sure the Divinty Coast Bonus is only 4 villies? I thought it was 5.

Hmm...I am trying to remember...

There is one in the village of Shaemoor, Another one right across the big bridge, one almost directly south of the bridge, and the last one is on the path east leading to Loamhurst...which one am I missing?

I'll go through it tomorrow and see if I can figure it out, it is bedtime for now

Impressive guide, well done. There was one thing I noticed without reading too much into it:

That was in your little hint part about Hell's... very true except you listed the wrong skill. Rodgort's Invocation is their most deadly skill, not Mark of Rodgort.

Very Nice Guide, I like having another resource for the Missions. Guildwiki starts aren't always the best but they have maps and info so you can verify yours with.

There are five villagers who must be found in order to get the bonus. The numbers below match those on the map. Note: Some NPCs are Merchants. Don't strain yourself to save them as they are not chosen. Only villagers will be chosen.

Chosen Villagers:

The first chosen is found in the village where you get the eye. Go around testing all of them until one villager follows you.
The second chosen is the villager across the big stone bridge. He will be under attack, so heal him if necessary and kill the monsters fighting him. Once tested, he also will follow you. Saving this chosen also adds the bonus objective to the mission.
The third chosen can be found by taking the leftmost path after crossing the bridge (south). He may or may not be under attack, so move quickly. (This does not currently show in the Prima guide.)
Head back to the main path (from the bridge) and continue west. After a boss fight, the path will split again; take the leftmost fork (you will see Gypsie Ettins). The fourth chosen is past the ettins, and may be under attack, so move quickly.
Continue past the fourth chosen along the path, and it will meet up with the main path again. You will see two merchants and a villager. Make sure the villager stays alive, but do not worry about the merchants unless you have a kind soul. Taking the eye to this villager reveals the fifth and final chosen.

Thanks Taz and Noran I updated everything except the Dunes of Despair bonus. I still have not been able to test that.

I photoshopped a quick map of the first mission. I would like your opinion on it, is it too big? too small? anything I need to change? Are the directions clear?

Please leave feedback about it.

Very nice guide and mission map! Thank you for your work and strategy points!

Not that the map isn't clear, but thinking of future missions, would some sort of occassional arrow on the map be helpful to keep direction a bit more obvious? Also, perhaps an alternate colored line to show bonus paths when they differ from the main mission path. Don't take those as criticism by any means though... that's one of the clearest maps I've seen. Good size and everything.

Is it possible to complete the mission for Kilnn Testibrie after you hit the cinematic? I found two of the armor pieces, then I found the Charr army.

Just a note about Hells Precipice.

I find it easier if when you reach the area with the Portal Wraths you just stand in the middle of the area in front of the Armageddon Lords area. If your team can be overwhelmed by the 1 or 2 small Titans at a time i wonder how you got that far. Means you can stop many more from walking down to the bottom so you don't have to lure as many. Helps remove DP for those unfortunate people too

Thank you all for your input. Several of you have asked about bonus mission paths so I added them! Here is a little preview of generally how the maps will look. Enjoy.

In answer to my own question, it seems that you can get into the Northlands again by accepting the quest to scout for the location of the Charr army again. You do not get credit for the scouting quest again, but it lets you in.

Wow. Well done. Not to burst your bubble, but there have been full walkthroughs (mission and bonus) as well as color labelled maps on www.gamefaqs.com for many months now. Still, a newer version is always appreciated.

Yes, I am aware of that. I just wanted to make something exclusively for Guild Wars Guru.

After you spot the Charr forces and the cinematic is triggered, you have a certain time limit to return to the wall. (3 minutes i think) This would more than likely not give you enough time to find the remaining pieces of Khilns armor, return them, and finally make the long trek back to the wall.

Sorry about the maps everyone. I have them all done but Filefront's image uploading feature seems to be down more often than it's up these days. I don't want to host them on Imageshack because they would expire over a certain amount of time.

Please be patient, I will have the maps up as soon as I find a permanent place to host them.
