i did this yesterday with a few alliance mates, this was the team:

3x necro heroes (sabs), the mm had ps to spam
1x hb monk
1x mimic ursan monk who was in monk for rotscale
1x barrage
2x ursan, both casted PI then charged in

it wasnt a team where we spent a lot of time on thinking what we needed as u can see, i just said anyone up for rotscale vq in alliance channel, 3 mins later we were off

we boosted to +10dp when we entered the area and didnt have a single death... we took down the minions pretty fast, then rotscale died slow but steady, we didnt have trouble at all

Cool

Me and my brother did it with just randomly setup heroes
we vanquished area with only 1 full team death(enemys spawn behind and came behind us .... )

just take some cash with u and get morale boost from the statue before bridge to rotscale

try pull the enemys down the steps and let ranged eles kill

both me and my brother were ursan at the time i was r5 and my brother r3

I just killed rotscale using the Duo monk rotscale build on PvXwiki

Me as Mo/N and a Hero as Mo/R

I took 2 other heroes and 4 hench to vanquish the rest of the area.

A standard, unmodified 600/smite duo can do it as well, and vanquish the rest of the area. Even if you're not a monk, you can have a pair of heroes do it with some micro.

I took him out two days ago with an SV nec hero, healing from a monk hero and PS from an E/Mo hero (PS from anyone will do, i just stuffed it on my earth nuker hero)....kindof like the Duncan The Black method in Slavers Exile.

I respawned a few times to get Rotscales group away from the rangers, etc... then used PI to clear up the rangers one by one, pull the clerics down (as they seem to like to get right in your face), then kill them and take out the necrid with whatever you have. I was being a bit careful to avoid accidental aggro.

When it was just Rotscales group i used PI, and splinter barraging to take down the Rotting Dragons making sure i had PS, Life Bond and guardian on me at all times (and even then i nearly died a couple of times). Once Rotscale was left i ran like a girl to break aggro then sent in the SV nec to do the business. Once he got to his last 500HP or so i just took everyone into range, hit PI again and let him nuke my group. Job done.

The hardest part was getting past the imps in Talmark Wilderness with that setup. It wasn't pretty......nasty little buggers

can be hero henchies, My Son have improved since then and can be done with no deaths(propper flagging of heroes.......required for that)

plus better Monk hero build(HB), Better SS set-up, and take a SV instead of MM, he acctually forgot rotscale was there while doing this Vanquish(very lucky to get it done he said-the Heroes and henchies took alot of the DP from Tahl Mark wilderness, due to crap monk build at the time), he took me back on my ranger(BHA) and i took 2 echo nukers, plus my healer monk(WoH at the time)

NO Micro manage needed either

A cheer up to people afraid of Rottie: just got him with hero/henchmen, so you can do it too.

Adapted my team to a Protective Bond build based on info of Wiki's talkpage, bought blessings at shrine, overall VERY effective. Hardest part was getting to Majesty's Rest, the Fire Imps are really nasty.

It was pretty gimmicky because as an Ele I ran mostly Necro spells. That's because I needed one Monk hero for Prot Bond, one Necro hero for SS and another Necro for Spoil Victor. As I decided to go add a BHA Ranger for extra safety, I played the SV myself (Hex with SV, roll face on keyboard to spam the rest, refresh SV, repeat). Attributes are all pretty straigthforward, mine being 12+1+1 E. Storage and 12 Blood Magic.

Basically bonded myself, Jin and Livia, the three of us did all damage. Talkhora stood back to keep bonds up, and the henchies helped with healing and Blood is Power.

Screenie including builds and flagging:

I used a smiter hero with Holy Wrath and Retribution, and positioned myself to just a little bit outside his aggro, so he can attack me but not use his spells and just waited until he dropped dead.

Hero Healer-HB with heavy healing
Necro Hero-SV with degen
Elementalist Hero-Echo nuker <get echo nuker flagged near edges of cliff and bomb necrid horsemen and the other non bone dragon enemies

with Freind(ranger BHA)=Healer hero(HB), illusion mesmer hero(Migraine), Nuker hero(Echoe)<use a second echo for taking cliff enemies out quicker.
with Henchies=Helaer/Mage/Mesmer/ranger

idea is to take out the Necrid horseman, chained clerics ETC, tank goes up while heroes are flagged back to edge of bridge, aggro all bone dragons(enough so crypt wraiths attack from behind), use sprint to leg it down accross the bridge, bone dragons will loose aggro, now tank out the crypt wraiths and let ur heros/henchies kill'em, now flag ur heroes close to stairs, but not directly close, and aggro the bones dragons(rotscale will loose aggro easy), now its just the bone dragons, Tank them out while SV and nukers bomb'em hard, now there dead its just rotscale...pretty much flag back heroes/henchies run in an aggro bubble ahead then release flag once an bubble ahead(hit sprint at this point), rotscale's sights are now set on u, just keep him dazed with skull crack, Nuker and SV will be dealing the high damage, mesmer will be degening, u tanking, healers healing.

if u have GWEN consider bringing ear bite.it deals higher damage and causes bleeding, avoid deep wound, it just creates the illussion u almost have him killed, lol

and doing it that way, the fight is 2 mins long, and there will be no death penalty....

i tried Sabway/half sabway, and found the deaths were occuring to much and the fight was taking like 10-15 mins..and the time u have the Rotscale killed u have 50% DP...seems as though with sabway he donesnt touch the tank either leaving u not to die, but making heroes useless when there at 60% DP

Me = healing monk (with PI and technobabble)
two friends = warriors, sword builds, no PI or technobabble
3 necro heroes
Tahlk = prot monk
Zhed = fire nuker

Couple of party wipes (mainly to wraiths coming from behind), but the statue of Balth lets you regain any DP and even give yourself morale boost. It did take a little bit of time due to pulling the other foes and being specific with hero flags, but we handled it pretty well and vanquished while we were at it. Wasn't too bad. I haven't tried Rotscale on NM yet...

600/Smite him.

The first time i tried i was lucky he was trapped behind the building.
So he can only range me and cant cast spell on me

Reaching him is a pain though. (That mob with grenth balance which appears out of nowhere and that mesmer stalker).

WOW I couldn't believe how easy he was! I was dreading doing majesty's rest in HM. Saved it for my last area to vanquish. (WOOT! Tyrian Vanquisher DONE!) Memories of party wipes with old guildies sounded no fun!!!

Did some home work. Followed these suggestions. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Talk:Majesty%27s_Rest

Tried this build team...

Master of Whispers (N/Me) - Spiteful Spirit, Mantra of Resolve - OAVDMsNHP5BhmdYPUGODV1IA

Livia (N/Mo) - Spoil Victor, Life Siphon - OANjcMGMBTqQtBzQFCuBGOVVCAA

Tahlkora (Mo/Me) - Bonder / Protector - OwUjApP7gS6DxDHEpEUayDPAyEA

I was using a Ether Renewal fire nuker build (love it with mindbender!) Wife was fire nuker too. We had a mes and 2 monks. Worked like a charm. The hardest part was getting through the inferno imps!

It took a little bit to figure out where to put things and how to agro/pull. Once rotscale was on these necro's radar, WOW! I've never seen him go down that fast!!

SV FTW!

-Felix

I did it again last night but this time on my warrior it went smooth with a sabs x3 necro heroes plus 2warrior 1necro and alesia from temple of the ages, i was using a dragon slash/ save yourself build.

It went great with no problems at all but his health went down very slowly as expected zero deaths though and got a rotwing bow for free ...

Did it in HM after a third attempt, two humans 6 heroes.

Humans:
AoM Dervish with wearying strike + Pain invertor.
Dom/interrupt mesmer.

Heroes:
Sabway Curses and Splinter/Heal necros,
Koss with headbutt and plague touch (for daze)
Dunkoro as M/Me
Tahlkora as M/Me
Pyre Fierceshot as BHA/interrupt ranger

No con set or other boosts just the blessing from the shrine at the bridge.

Pulled the undead around him, then once there were just him and the dragons left we banzai'd in. The dragons went down extremely fast and once Rotscale was on his own it was just a matter of keeping him dazed and hammering at him for about 5 mins. We had a few deaths but it was pretty comfortable once we settled into our roles and positions.

I just did it with discordway. It's not hard at all and certainly not impossible.

Flag one hero close by, or use yourself. Flag your healers outside of range, they will heal and rez, your MM will continuously make bodies. Put PI and barbs on him as much as possible, and he'll go down fast.
