Default Patrols and Vanquishing

I have a guildie nearing the end of a vanquish of Anvil Rock. I'm sure you all know the area, and the infamous Minotaur patrols.

What I'm wondering is if there is a site with patrol lines drawn on maps, a tactic other than flagging at choke points and luck, or anything else to give us an edge on finding patrols in our vanquishes.

This isn't just for Anvil Rock, I remember I found that patrol by sheer luck. But for all of these situations. Skyward Reach had me running around the map for over an hour trying to find that Hydra boss and his lackeys.

Any help in this topic is appreciated. If you feel the need to tell me stop crying, go for it :P

For these areas, it helps to bring other human players and split up once you are only missing a lone patrol or two. There aren't very many maps out there with patrol routes, so the best thing you can do is take your time and be thorough the first time through.

Although this may be obvious, for areas with circular patrols like Perdition Rock, go the opposite direction of the mobs. This will save you time "catching" each one, just make sure you can defeat each group before the next arrives.

Would be nice if their was a mod that showed all the enemies in the area as red dots on your map when you press U. Would save a lot of time.

It's not that it's hard, Snieves - it's that areas with far-ranging patrol groups are a pain because you often need to backtrack to find that one, last patrol.

Make sure there aren't any little paths on the side of the area you overlooked. I've done that two or three times, one of which was Anvil Rock. Check near portals.

This, i vanquished this area yesterday, spent 45 minutes looking for a group, turns out there is a path in the SE corner that leads near to the frost gate outpost with 2 groups down it which i never even thought existed.

But where would the fun be if you didn't have to search the entire area 5 times to find 2 minotaurs?

took me 1 try. I h/h'd it, just stand at a choke point for 10 minutes then move to the next 1 and repeat. you can even afk and the h/h will kill the henchmen. my last patrol was a group heading SW while i was on the ledge SE of ice tooth cave.
