Default Tomb of the Primeval Kings - The Darkness

I'm not sure where to post this so please move if necessary. I was wondering if it was possible to solo the 3 Darkness in TOPK to get all the green drops so I tried it today with my Ritualist. Turns out they're really not all that difficult in NM.

This has been doable with an Assassin in HM for years.

spirit spam rit even before the spirit buffs have been able to solo just about any boss (in the case group of bosses) for years

what, you don't think it's possible to solo Darknesses with Rit?

I did it a week or 2 ago, to get some greens for my 2nd acct.

Besides, it's WELL KNOWN that this is possible

sorta like accusing someone of PS'ing a screen of a 55 surviving a hit from an aatxe

I guess I'll be the first to say the first somewhat positive thing on this topic.

Good job. I haven't beaten TOPK on any of my characters yet. I came close once but the pug had a monk throw a temper tantrum and we wiped at the last bit.

Cool, I'll have to try that sometime on my rit.

Question: Why use agony instead of shadowsong/anguish/armor of unfeeling?

edit: getting my skills strait

What an awesome community, people can't help themselves trying not to be complete asses. What's up with this? If you don't like the thread, out with the negativity please... or AT LEAST try to be polite if you disagree with the OP. WTB stricter moderation. Back to Diablo III forums...

When you say solo, do you meen taking the bosses all alone ( flagging party elsewhere ) ? Or doing it without other human players.

Anyway GZ ! all those greens make me wanna try TOPK :P

Heh, welcome to the club!

Take a look in Campfire, there's a thread entitled "Why does nobody ever go ToPk anymore" - and see this post http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...9&postcount=38

It's a popular spot for those of us reminiscing about how greens used to be exciting ^_^

(Oh, and I'll tell you something for free - Victo's Axe, Victo's Bulwark and the aforementioned Ogre Slaying Knife are still damn rare. Haven't had any of them yet.)
(edit - I tell a lie...)

I go in with a party of 3 humans - Assassin (no perma!), Ranger and Paragon. Add in some spirit spamming monks and away you go.

I've completed TotPK 4 times now. It's always Scarred Earth that I have trouble with - if I get through that, I'm pretty much guaranteed to finish (messed up once at the start of the Hall of Heroes by being careless). But I took about 30 goes before I first managed to get through Scarred Earth.

First time I went in we got Victo's Sword, Victo's Axe, Elswyth's Recurve Bow and 3 less-useful greens. I just got the Ogre Slaying Knife on my last dive too

Oh - I also use it for levelling up pets for my menagerie ... going in with 3 level 5 pets is not a recipe for success.

I think the tombs are still awesome, ive monked quite a lot of trips through there, and solo'd it on my assassin when shadow form didnt have a damage penalty. If only the greens received an update to make them more awesome, the tombs would be invaded again.

Nice job anyways
