Default Halloween 2009 video tutorials and tips thread

Since some Guru members and players in game are having difficulty with the quest: "Don't Fear the Reapers," this thread will provide links to videos, tips, tactics, and strategies for this quest and any following quests so more players may successfully participate in the festival. Please post your links to videos if you have them, and I'll update this post and credit you. Also post tactics, screen shots, tips, etc. if you wish, but other threads and the wiki(s) already provide those. Please take flames or complaints elsewhere; this thread is for sharing tips to complete these quests.

Videos:

1. Here is a video by <Blaze>:
how to (Something Wicked This Way Comes) GW Halloween 2009 quest 2:26
2. Another video provided courtesy of Die You Infidel:
Something Wicked This Way Comes 3:05
I don't speak this language; I do not know if there are any inappropriate lyrics. Mute if you want.

I highly recommend both of the following videos for a faster route.

1. The first video is provided courtesy of <Blaze>:
How to (Don't Fear the Reapers)GW Halloween 2009 quest part 1 9:16
Labyrinth, Forgotten Vale, Mountains, Spawning Pools

How to (Don't Fear the Reapers)GW Halloween 2009 quest part 2 8:01
Chaos Planes, Bone Pits(1:24), Ice Wastes
2. Next is a video provided courtesy of IronSheik:
Don't Fear The Reapers Part 1 9:45 Direct download link for better quality
Forgotten Vale, Labyrinth, Twin Serpent Mountains, Bone Pits(6:10), Chaos Planes

Don't Fear the Reapers part 2 8:04
Spawning Pools, Ice Wastes
3. Finally, this is a video tutorial I created for beginners to the Underworld, since I belong in that category:
Don't Fear the Reapers, part 1 7:48
Labyrinth, Forgotten Vale, Twin Serpent Mountains, and Chaos Planes Reapers

Don't Fear the Reapers, part 2: The Bone Pits 3:24
I cut out just the Bone Pits Reaper for those who have trouble here. I didn't really use caution; I just rushed in spraying Sugar Shocks like bullets at any red dots in range, with a few influence bombs when I couldn't fire fast enough.

Don't Fear the Reapers, part 3 9:01
Spawning Pools and Ice Wastes
4. Here is another video by <Blaze> showing a more cautious approach to the Bone Pits. It demonstrates safe places to wait for patrols.
How to (Don't Fear the Reapers)"slow and steady wins the race" The Bone Pits 5:37

1. <Blaze> owns this thread. The builds and attributes for the party are shown in the beginning.
how to (Stemming the Skeletal Tide/Every Bit Helps)GW Halloween 2009 quest 7:41
This is actually a video of the following quest, but you just capture 1 Skeleton in this quest.

1. This is a duplicate link to Blaze's video above.

Updates:

If you split your videos, please provide an explanation of which reapers are included in the videos you submit along with the order to make it easier to update. I won't be adding any further links to the 1st quest, "Something Wicked This Way Comes."

Special Thanks:

I would like to thank all those who have contributed, and a special thanks to the Live Team and everyone at ANet for sharing this Halloween celebration with us. I'd also like to thank Miss Presler, the official wiki, and contributors there for the images of the Underworld and for updating the quest information in the linked articles.

Very nice vids!

1 tip I would like to share is that shout range is slightly larger then your aggro bubble. That means that if you have a patrol of two (or more) comming at you, you can already take 1 down with Sugar Shock before it even has the chance to cast a spell. The other will start running towards you. Take one or two steps backwards and Sugar Shock will have recharged. so you can knock the other comming at you before it can cast anything.

For me this was very helpful in the Bone Pits and at the entrance of the Spawning Pools.

Also, I read somewhere else that the Behemoths in the Twin Serpent Mountains will attack you alot more if you are wieling a staff or a wand. I noticed this once aswell. When I ran through on my Dervish and on my Assassin (the first wielding a scythe and the latter wielding daggers), The Behemoths almost never tried to attack me. But when I ran through on my Ranger who was wielding a staff, they started shooting alot more.

If you are having massive problems and have failed multiple times at this, you may want to consider using an Essence of Celerity. This will make The Mad King's Influence recharge fast enough that you will be able to reuse it as soon as the enemies turn hostile again, allowing you to run through everything as allies.

Sexy how much you have put effort and some time to help other ppl, appreacited. In my opinion this quest is just lame compared to "Someting Wicked This Way Comes" which provides less reward of course but takes a lot less time to complete =P. Anyways, this will help many ppl, gj.

I have updated the first post with more videos. I won't be including any more links to the 1st quest at this time.

Lukyboy, I included your tip about equipping melee weapons in the Twin Serpent Mountains in my tutorial video, thanks. I had forgotten to point out that the Behemoths change attack frequency based on your equipped weapon.

Thank you, Blaze, you're the star of this thread.

I have updated the first post with Blaze's video of quests 3 & 4. I'll try to upload a video of my own this weekend once I sort out some technical difficulties.

edit: Technical difficulties have prevented me from uploading further videos in time to be relevant.
