Rragar's Menagerie Questions
Hello all,
Ive been working on dungeons in HM now as I finished everything in NM. At the moment I'm getting destroyed by this dungeon . I always run Heroes and Henchmen . I'm a Mesmer / Necro Running a Visions of regret Bar. So far my team has been composed of
Gwen ( Panic, Psychic Distraction and Ineptitude-- er I mean Ive tried these three elites so far )
Dunkoro ( Unyielding Aura )
Master of Whispers (MM with some Prot spells)
Lina, Mhenlo , Devona and Herta .
Anyway using a couple of builds Based on these branches Ive been so far getting slaughtered. I was thinking of using a Bonder with Life Barrier and throwing it on everyone however theres quite a few enchantment based spells being used by things in here.
Id appreciate any kind of suggestions which would help me complete this dungeon. Ive checked some of the builds which are inv9olved in Speed clears but pretty much everything revolves around multiple characters and use of PvE skills which kind of puts me in a fix.
If you were to run this dungeon on a mesmer of yours what would you try out
Thanks in advance.

Isnt it an idea to ask someone from your guild and dual discord it? Depending on his class someone take Assassins Promise and You move like a Dwarf but remember to both call.

Change your bar to Panic/Fevered Dreams/AP Sin Spam. Visions of Regret is crap and you really don't want that sort of reactive damage if the dungeon is destroying you.
If you run Panic or FD, get rid of Gwen.
Get rid of Dunkoro.
Take at least one of the Rit heroes, ideally two. Run spirit spam builds on them.
Make sure Master of Whispers has Protective Spirit.
Kick Devona and Lina, take Cynn and either Eve, Zho or Lo Sha (I myself generally take Eve).
When facing tough looking groups, flag your heroes apart with henchmen behind them and pull the enemy into you. Micro PS as required and precast spirits if you think you need to.
I know that running Fevered Dreams with two Rit heroes and a MM works very well in this dungeon. Using either an AP build or Panic should not change the results too much (except that Meteor Shower may become much more threatening if you use an AP build).

Ok...
more details about the builds you are using would be cool...
Gwen will be pwnage as a panic if I remember that dungeon. However...rupting like that...kinda ruins the point of VoR...
Devona....all I have to say to that...is..that frontline ai sucks.
I personallly would set myself up as the panic... and bring a spirt spammer hero...but I like rupting xD

This, although I generally prefer Lo Sha as opposed to Eve. Try to interrupt RoJ / Meteor Shower yourself, but if it doesn't work just flag your H/H out of it if they're balled.
Also look at this thread (shameless self-advertising bleagh) - although it's optimized for Elementalist primary, the builds for the heroes should still work and especially the techniques you'll need to break the dungeon.

Hmm as a mesmer I would run Air of Disenchantment illusion bar with like clumsiness, wandering eye and signet of clumsiness. Their aegis is so strong, and I normally run a physical team... so ya.

Like others have mentioned...drop VoR...specially since you have a mesmer hero with you. VoR+any other mesmer hex=suck town. Remember that Rragars has a lot of rezing. That being said the groups have 2 hard rezers and mutiple rez sigs. The monks (can't recall their name atm) and the Dominators have the hard rezes. Kill them 1st and if u still have Panic that'll usually keep the signet rezes under control. Ineptitude is fun at times if you dont want to run Panic......and the ebon skills are made specially for char. (I love watching ebon sniper "cap" a charr) For the Fleshreaver groups, focus on the hounds 1st as they will deal the most dmg to your team. Spirits rock as well. Make sure you have your ebon title on =D

I usually play at really weird times. Im +5:30 GMT hence not many are usually on when I am. But I think I could get a couple of discord heroes.

I agree Ive just been using Vision of Regret for so long that I guess I have been shying away from trying anything else . I do have the Assassin's Promise based bars saved somewhere like this one

Inm going to definitely give this a try . Never have used two spirit spammers though. I have Signet of spirits capped and could definitely try out Razah using that.

At the very most, take Mirror of Disenchantment - do not waste your elite so casually, especially on a human player.
Aegis is worthless if interrupted or the caster spiked down before he can use it.
Also, I do not recommend running a physical heavy H/H team if the player is not a physical primary. The melee AI sucks and the ranged physicals do not bring anything particularly worthwhile to the team; stick to casterballs.

Alternatively, as a Mesmer you could go for some hard shutdown with decent damage options (Panic, Fevered Dreams, Psychic Instability) - I have a few of those builds saved if you're stuck for ideas.

I have only recently begun running two Rit heroes. I've always run one (SoS Channeling) since the Rit update, but running two has made H/Hing much easier.
Builds I ran to do Rragar's:
The player is a Nec using FD, but the Mesmer build is similar (can run either Me/N or Me/E for blind) and results should not vary too much, energy is only a little tighter with the Blood henchmen.
Simply copying that will help ensure success, but it's always nice to run something we can call our own, so try to tailor your own builds.
Slow time because FD is slower than AP, I forgot the way and I pause to drink tea.

And first try after changing to smarter stuff.
Had 10% Morale Boost till I pulled Flesheater(s) . Not to mention sort of misjudged the distance they would turn back at ! Other than that the rest was a breeze . I see what I have been doing epically wrong. Thanks a million for helping me finally finish this.
