I admit these possibilities are totally viable, I havent vq'd much on my own before (About half of Cantha which was easy as cake and about 15 of 34 elona with about half that helped.) But I tried sabway, followed it to the letter, and my main atm is a SF ele. I am getting pwned in the Ascalon areas. Either a) I suck (Probably true), b) I'm doing something wrong because I'm just recently back and don't remember how this stuff works), or c) Sabway isn't a good idea for Ascalon.

So I'm asking for tips on what to do with Tyria. They realllly like their degen in Tyria, I know that for a fact. So, considering Tyria's a blank slate for me, any advice?

Spiritway. Consider a panic/PI rupter somewhere in your setup as well.

Discord/Sabway are ok for the most part for VQing or for general balance, but there are alot of better options to mix/match for certain areas.

Old Ascalon was a pain the ass as I remember. Is it the Grawl healers that are giving you trouble?

Unfortunately Grawl have notoriously high armor against elemental damage and can easily outheal anything you throw at them. I'd recommend putting Defile Flesh and Cracked Armor on your curses necro, and manually keeping those on the shamen until you pound them down.

Also, on the healer necro, I'd slot out the rez and the elite for Signet of Spirits and Bloodsong and go 9/9/9 channeling/resto/soul reaping. Mend Body + Soul, Spirit Light, and Soothing Memories are extremely effective on their own at 9 points and imo the resto elites aren't worth the slot, the extra damage/meat shields will help more in there.

I don't know if this is still the case but Sabway tends to be oriented towards having a physical player. Casters tend to be better off with other set ups. Discord is better suited but definitely not remarkable. Spiritway is better than them both for both physicals and casters anyway.

hmmm, ur healer prolly cant handle the dmg too well. may want to consider some kind of dmg reduction for your party. also, you may want to focus more on a single target dmg build since the groupings are smaller. Take down targets one at a time instead of trying to AoE em all to death at once.

It was that and the knockdowns from the grawl's hammers was annoying me. They pwned me faster than the 4 crown of thorns- that was such a pointless fight I finally gave up after about 7 minutes with the same 4 things -.-;;;;;

I run a modified Sabway, Livia also puts up the recovery spirit. In many areas, a mesmer hero Dom with high fast casting and good interrupt works better. Something like 12 fast casting, 12 domination, 12 inspiration.

Elite: Mantra of Recovery, or Panic, or what seems best.
Empathy or Backfire if casters are the problem.
Spiritual Pain
Overload
Drain Enchantment
Power Drain
Ether Feast
Death Pact Signet

If you run into a problem area, tinkering with the Mesmer build can help a lot!

In areas where you use Master of Whispers, consider adding Parasitic Bond. He will stay alive a bit better. Tinker with the Curses until it fits the area you are in. I have Livia set up to also put up the Recovery spirit. Helps where you get bombarded with conditions. But a Smiting Monk as the third instead of a mesmer or Curses necro can help even more in some areas.

I love Sabway! It is the way for lazy folk like me! And the heroes!

And yes I am a Ranger. BM build with Otyugh's Cry for an unblockable pet can be very helpful!

For me it's more like Discordway for a caster, and Sabway for an attacking profession. I got legendary guardian+some vanqs with sabway on my ranger with very little trouble, because I took advantage of the aoe power it already has and added my own concentrated target damage.
