Default Help with Mallyx

I'm playing a HB monk in DoA. Teams are usually glaiveway and I had no problem in foudnry, veil, city, and gloom. For mallyx, you're supposed to go word of healing since enchants are bad.

But we got massively wiped. Very hard to heal for group since everybody seems to be taking massive damage simultaneously. Spells cast slower without HB. Heal party seems uselss since 1) heals for less without HB 2) 2 second cast without HB.

Mesmers constantly hitting me with power block or migraine.

Group seems to blame monks for wiping, but is it really my and UA's fault? Isn't it more on paragon to keep up SY and group to actually kill stuff fast so monks don't get spent? Try to keep hexes off paragon, but my primary job should be healing I believe and let mesmer or UA strip hexes?

Any advice on tactics for WoH monk in DoA. My skill bar is similar to my HB build but with a few skills swapped out.

If you don't want to do the trick to let the door stay open so you can drag him out of the room, my best suggestion would be for 4 people to fit Gaze of Fury on their bars, as soon as Mallyx and his spirits turn hostile, use Gaze on all the spirits. They won't respawn if all 4 die around the same, and you will be able to do that fight without the nasty environment effects. Should make healing quite a bit easier.

1. Could be that you suck; could be that the UA sucks and you can't keep up with his job and yours; could be that the imba sucks; could be some combination of the foregoing.

2. More than any of that, this illustrates why glaiveway is really a terrible team design. Your backline is all redbarup (with built-in energy problems even) and your only mitigation comes from a couple of shouts on one midline guy who is vulnerable to shutdown.

3. A Soul Twister is probably the most surefire way to handle the situation.

Mallyx is not hard to do with 2 man + heroes, you just have to know what to bring.

Like it was said above, bringing a ST communing rit (shelter, displacement, union) will Really help. Personally, I'd bring dual spirit rits: SoS channeling and a SogM communing spirit spammers, and make really sure to bring either multiple copies of Gaze of Fury or have a N/Rt healer with consume soul (If you chose to run this. disable consume soul and manually tell the hero to kill spirits.

I suck at times, but this time it wasnt me. Did it with another team and it was simple. Think it may have just been crappy imbagon. On that first team, all health bars were taking massive hits, constantly. Couldnt heal fast enough. Second time around, was relative cake walk and imbagon had SY up most of time.
