The Bandits are level 30 now I think and love to rez. The Bandits gave me the most trouble because of the rezzing and I didn't even notice Galrath until he was dead.

Galrath wasn't a concern when I did the quest I took him out first because I expected him to be harder but wasn't by much then took the rest of the group out relatively quick.

Fun quest. Bandits were a pain. Fortunately I had Frozen Soil, a couple of Panics, SoS, and a some earth AOEs (Unsteady Ground, etc.)
Bandits ball up easily. Take advantage.

Ok, so I went there in HM with my standard 7H setup for my Nec with no alterations..
I would be lying if I said it was easy, but it wasn't exactly hard. It was definitely frustrating and time consuming - the groups on the plateau where Galrath is located all aggro together (excluding Galrath's mob) and they have decent bars.
The main problem are their Monks - they are insane. They pack Healer's Boon, DKiss, Cure Hex, Power Drain, Heal Party and Infuse Health (I didn't notice any other skills). They are like bloody lightning with Infuse and it makes Assassin's Promise very precarious. When you have several of them in a group, it becomes very hard to score kills.
Fortunately the majority of their damage comes from Assassins (WotA Sins with Jagged Strike (and I suspect Fox Fangs but I didn't pay attention)) who carry Res Sigs and I could blow up a ball of them fairly quickly (Mark of Pain so fun). The Necs and Mesmers are simple hex characters. The Mesmers carry the only hard res - Flesh of my Flesh.
There may have been other resses, but I didn't spot them.
When several monks are together, hexes can be hard to get to stick (I suspect there's another removal in the mix I didn't catch) and they can heal very fast. If I were to run it again on my Nec* I'd take Fevered Dreams and (despite myself) some other hex overload (SS, VoR, etc).
I would also take Frozen Soil, but to be honest, this might just delay the inevitable use of resses.
Fortunately, it's easy to break aggro on these guys. Once the Sins are dead the rest of the team takes a while to kill so you can safely pull back and maybe even spike down overextended enemies (be quick, because those monks don't take too long to reach casting range).
*Except of course, I can't take my Nec again because A.Net have decreed that all extra content can only be played through once.

It was a little difficult. If I had Frozen soil, though, it would've been cake :P. Those fast cast flesh of my fleshes get annoying..

I PUG'ed it. No Frozen Soil, but someone did use a Grail of Might. A couple deaths, but the warrior boss really went down quickly and Bandits seemed to like standing near each other for Physic Instability.

honestly, it was alot easier than i would expect it to be. i assumed it would be as hard as the wik content, but it was much easier.
i rolled it in hm for the extra challenge, but breezed through it without any deaths or cons.
what made it so easy is that the monks like to ball up, so panic just destroyed them, if that wasnt the case, i could imagine it being alot harder, but norgu took care of all the sins balling on my monks, while gwen just perma shut downed their monks as i beat on them with whirlwind attack+splinter wep+cyclone axe.
level 40 garlath was awesome though, cant wait for more quests like this.
i wish anet would stop the mobs from ballng though, like they did in slavers exile. now that was a challenge in hm

I don't take Frozen Soil as a rule, and I didn't notice them resurrecting. Might be because of Panic, but I think maybe you mistook HB for UA? If all those monks were using UA, it'd have been quite annoying.
That being said, this quest only proves how strong Mirror of Disenchantment is.

The quest difficulty was OK. I did it in HM (your required to anyways) and got there and then saw so many lvl 30 bandits. i wiped the first two times and then killed them all in 3rd time. I highly recommend Frozen Soil. Also Panic and Barrage works great here to. MoD would work fantastic even though I did not use it. Be ready to bring tons of AoE damage and heal. Minions also work great too. Galrath was a piece of cake though. His bandits are much tougher than him.

What was the point of updating this quest out of everything else? I beat the quest twice with pugs. It was fun doing it with live teammates, but what was the point? I was really hoping Winds of Change (War In Cantha) would've been released today, but eh.

Is there any difference between NM and HM for this quest?

ANet has to do better, seriously. I brought standard builds into the mission (albeit forewarned by this thread, I also had Frozen Soil) and rolled through it easier than I rolled through Slaver's HM. Heck even Rragar's HM might be more difficult than this. Galrath died so fast he might as well have been a level 5 charmable pet, while all the Infuse Healths in the world did nothing as I missed not a single AP and instead spiked out targets left right centre. I even had one fight with about 12++ Bandits and Verata disciples alive, but I was never threatened. Time taken - 18 minutes, and I wasn't pushing very hard.
Whatever else this is, "difficult" it isn't.

HM is required (even though it does not state so in the quest log).

Probably because it will be the first of many. A prototype for WoC. I expect WoC will have a couple of optional HM QUests who might be on par with BLA.

Probably because it is a quest that (as far as I know) never really took off, but was expected as en important quest. And as I said, it's probably a first test.

Just did it too. Wasn't a cakewalk, but definitely doable. Didn't take Frozen Soil because I wanted to test a hero teambuild. The only difficulty (maybe better to call it annoyance) is the constant infuse spam.
