I'd like to know also.

The last thing I remember farming with my necro primary was Monkey Paragons in Kourna. Bleh.

I'm going to collect story books! If I complete every one available it should accumulate 867500 xp alone. all I have to do is double up on a few books and I'm there. No mindless grinding, no hammers, no boxing, no fear of disconnections and I can have fun doing all the missions in the game with my full hero party. And if I mess up and die while doing them I don't have to start over. I'm thinking of them as a way of banking xps while playing!
Thanks, Mike.

Yes every prof can farm vatteirs. Some use the aid of a bonder hero, but that really makes it very easy.

You can fill in optionals depending on your primary...there are many many ways to do it.

Hmms... I do know a certain monk who is also working on Survivor... I know you can run with a bonder hero but how badly would the exp work out if take a human monk as my bonder? We've been trying to think up some duo monk+necro farms for Survivor and stuff. The only one that really sprung to mind for us was the old duo SS/55 UW farm but obv that's not really viable anymore now, is it? I'm just curious as to how slowly Survivor would be if we ran Vaetirrs together. At the moment I'm simply soloing wurms outside Boreal and doing the odd FoWSC with guild/alliance who know I'm going for Survivor. Didn't really want to risk Raptors :/

First I was gonna say: Remember, if you're not up close to the kills, you don't get xp, so your bonder shouldn't be a leech like that. I tried to powerlevel someone with raptors and he didn't get any xp unless he was in earshot of the killing.

But then I realised I should say: But your bonder has bonds on you, which affect the combat, so yeah he'd prolly get xp.

I don't mind him taking drops, but half xp would suck.

edit, @mike: I've had a similar idea. I'm already working on Master of the North, and only have one book left... my hard mode Dungeon book. I went and filled a couple pages the other day and died a lot, heh. But then I realized, the book is gonna be 120k when I turn it in, AND I can sit on each dungeon's individual quest for another 15k, 7.5k, or 5k or whatever... I wait till I turn in the book, then run about and turn in all the quests, for an additional bonus.

I'm pretty sure that even a bonder won't get any XP. If you want him to have XP, a solution would be to bring Recall (on the bonder), use it on the Vaettirs killer, and remove it juste before the ennemies die.

it's not the fastest but I am SO done with grind, so I did 12 fissure clears in NM with no cons with 6 heroes and an afk 2nd account

got leg survivor in less than 3 days. For the record the best drop/obsidian chest/fissure chest drop I got was a r9 shadow blade 15^stanced, so yeah nothing good dropped. Got a nice amount of obsidian shards though. Each clear gets about 115k, so that's pretty good.

I did this on my warrior, the only times I got a little nervous was when I got Grenth Balanced in the burning forest, or hit with empathy + spiteful spirit right before going into hundred blades

I didn't even think of the quest rewards! Some of them are pretty substantial. Only thing is, not all of them can be collected in an outpost or town. I'm going to have to research how many can be collected without zoning into an explorable area. thanks for the idea!

I've been out skill capping and I'm about 4 caps away from r1 Survivor. I just did a bit of math and getting all the NF caps (I've got all the Proph and most of Factions) will put me at like 100k past r2. Still debating on what to do for the remaining 600k or so.

What's the approximate XP/hr for Vaettir runs on an ele? How risky is it? I've only just gotten back into the game last weekend so my reflexes aren't the best... if Vaettir farm requires a lot of precision I'm probably better off Wurming.

If using the 300g scrolls (hunters insight)from trader it yields about 31,500exp per run, which takes <5mins. (I think...lol)

As Essence Snow says, using the common scrolls produces some 31,000xp per 5-6min. Using rare scrolls would produce 40,000-50,000xp.
I used a bonder hero as insurance too for my assassin, to minimise the risk of inattention/disconnection and allow extra offense.
Now I can return to real PvE and speed clears (relieved). Happy farming!

Vaettirs are uber easy if it comes for survivor.
Done it just today with 175% exp scrolls in like 4-5h without paying a lot of attention. Used sin build.

Definitely Vaettirs. Done r3 on my Mes in few days(didin't played so much...) without any problem. Just bring a Bonder for safe and easier runs.
Also, bring Air of Superiority if farming for exp, even at r0 is maintenable.

From wiki: "Kneel Before Your Master!" ->Double XP gained ->20%. Also: Experience scrolls stack with the "Kneel Before Your Master" bonus.

So if you kill 60 vaettirs, at least 12 will give double exp.

About exp on bonder, i've seen that the exp is divided among teammates in earshot(or similar distance). Cause your hero will probably be at limit of compass (expecially when balling/killing) it wont leech exp.

P.S:If anyone is interested on my build, it was Deadly paradox-SF-Shroud of distress-Ether Nightmare(kurz/lux skill)-Cry of pain(SS)-Wastrel demise-Air of superiority-Elemental resistance(can be changed for mantra if soloing or Great dwarf armor probably; use it right after casted SF, it will be recharged when you will cancel it with DP for renew SF).

Standard bonder hero w/ Life barrier-life bond-balth spirit-optional bond(succor/mending or such)-blessed signet.

got my title today, did about 3-4 runs a day. I get bored doing it easily. Died a couple of times due to not paying attention, but once i focused got it quick, my build was R/A, took a bonder hero R/M just to be safe, after i got the title replaced the bonder hero with Storm Chaser...pretty cool. My bonder hero didn't get any experience from my run. She carried balth spirit and EoE only. put her in range to cast and hit me with EoE and the vaettir's died a bit quicker then they would've without it. No need for extra bonds as i took no damage. But that was on my ranger, haven't tried it on other professions. But yes vaettir's would be the easiest and quickest way to farm survivor. 31,500 exp for all 60 vaettir's in that area with the 175% exp scrolls.

Can people tell me the times they run for Killroy HM/wurms?

The wurm farm itself takes less than 3 minutes for me, but picking up drops and rezones averages out to 3.57 minutes per run.

I can do in Killroy HM in 13-15 minutes but I'll admit i'm pretty clunky at it.
Got max survivor title doing kilroy HM

The first 5 runs or so you might die until you figure out that you have to aggro things yourself and use the more damaging skills 3-4-5-6-7 and hardly ever use 2 while spamming 1 on recharge.

The first 10-15 runs or so I sometimes got KO'd and ended the runs at maybe 50-70 energy.

The last 10-15 runs I did I got KO'd maybe once per run or not at all.

In HM you can beat the dungeon before a 10minute scroll runs out so I'd say 10 minutes once you're good at it.

I got about 150 each of shamrock ales and four leaf clovers, at least 100k in gold from merching stuff and 100-150 runes/insignias to dump on my heroes. Also got 2 minor vigs although I may have found them elsewhere.
Got 3-4 elite tomes, a guesstimated 30 normal tomes

I did about 40 runs using various scrolls but mostly double exp cheapest rampager scrolls that require you to kill a foe within 30 seconds to recharge it.
I only used one per run and didn't have it active for the end boss due to the delay I left between killing maghma and the end boss to go grab items.

All in all it is about 7 hours of grinding that's actually quite fun

No scroll: 300 exp
adventurers: 450 exp 10mins
rampagers: 600 exp 30sec renewing (can keep it up entire run)
super duper expensive scrolls of goldsinking: 700exp

that's all per foe

But like I said, there's a small learning curve before you kill stuff auto-mode

edit: and I also got enough dyes to paint a rainbow

i finished the survivor with my necro using that build.

http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:N/W_Manly_Raptor_Farmer

I changed "Finish Him" for "Feel No Pain" with some Shamrock ales. My health was around 815. You can't kill Rekoff but it's much safer cos if he manages to hits you with all the block and you don't have "Feel no pain", you're pretty much dead.

I used 175% xp, finished in a day.

Ive been doing the Vaetir farm on my ele for Drops this weekend. One run is about 2-3 Minutes on my E/ME for killing all 60 Vaetirs (4 Minutes if you get a bad spawn or you get stuck and surrounded somewhere). Its a little bit risky as every 3 or 4 casts of the tank skills you could end up with one of them down for half a second (which is a lot of damage if you have 36 Vaetirs hitting you at once).
