Default Fastest Way to LDOA

Discuss methods to gain LDOA as fast as possible.

New Method post March 11, 2011 Update based on quest Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet

- Create New Character and fuel it with lots of money by converting post gold to pre gold. I've seen rates of 2 post :1 pre.

- Avoid Pre Quests but start monk secondary without completing it to get heal skill

- With the converted gold you have from post buy 50 flowers(1.5k) to get a hat, rune (1-3k) and salvage kit (5-7k) to +2 your offensive attribute. Also buy a vigor (5k) and what not.

-If you can, spawn bonus weapons

-With the converted gold hire a high level player to speed clear the 4 Charr bosses in the Northlands and any charr on the way or at the bosses. High level player kills but you spam heal on high level player. Repeatedly do this till level 10. ( agree to terms you work out perhaps pay by level or foe kill count)

-At level 10 take quest Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet

-Go to Foible's Fair solo, zone into Wizard's Folly rush south to first 2 quest spawned foes and kill. You can use the level 5 monk at the resurrection shrine as a meat shield if needed. Also use your fire imp if you have. After first 2 foes are dead resign and rezone (takes maybe 45 seconds per complete run cycle). Repeat till level 19.

example time to level....
Getting from level 17 to 18 should take about 1 hour and 8 minutes.
Getting from level 18 to 19 should take about 1 hour and 35 minutes.

-At Level 19 Do all Pre Quests

- Go Back to farming Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet till 1,000 experience short of level 20. Finish the quest and turn in for the last 1,000 needed for title.

Results: LDOA in 2-3 Days.

Pre-Nerf Method info will be saved for the interesting historical knowledge but is no longer valid
Old Method with time average of 11.5 hours......

One Method to attain LDOA in less than a day for the experienced player based on today's quest...

-If you can spawn bonus weapons

-With the converted gold hire a level 17+ and agree to terms you work out perhaps pay by level or foe kill count

-Have level 17 take quest Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet

-Go to Foible's Fair with level 17 as team lead, zone into Wizard's Folly rush south to first 2 level 15 quest spawned foes. Level 17+ player kills but you spam heal on level 17+ player. After first 2 foes are dead resign and rezone (takes maybe 45 seconds per complete run cycle). Repeat till level 17
Getting from level 5 to 6 should take about 12 minutes
Getting from level 16 to 17 should take about 1 Hour and 40 Minutes

-At Level 17 You continue farming the Vanguard Rescue: Farmer Hamnet the same way but now solo

Results: LDOA in less than a day

Find some one in pre with alot of gold, and give him twice that amount of gold in post and hell give u his pre gold.

No fool proof, probably quite easy to scam unless theres a method I dont know about. Maybe try and grab some collateral, like a piece of armor or weapon thats customized.

With today's update (March 10,2011) my original method was stealth nerfed. I will research a new method but it will undoubtedly be much much longer.

Thanks very much for what made for a much faster than expected maximum title.

Just one suggestion: don't wait until level 19 to do the quests.
  • At levels 10 and 17, you're +2 levels over the enemies and are earning 64 xp per kill.
  • At 11, 14, and 18, you're +3 earning 48.
  • At 12, 15, and 19, you're +4 earning 32.
  • At 13 and 16, you're +5 earning 16. These are the real grinds.
Compared to claiming all the quest rewards at 19, doing so at level 13 or 16 saves twice as much time.

Some might prefer to stall this XP farm for those two tedious levels to do the daily quests, which become faster XP for the time invested.

...be anything/monk and smite the undead quest. The first group has 4 enimies, takes about 45 seconds to do it u ball them and use symbol of wrath. Oh and you do double damage

Why use /resign when you can just press M and click the outpost? I find it faster because there is delay before game accepts your resign. Of course, clicking the outpost on the map needs more attention but it should be faster.

/Resign will take you straight to the exit if you rezoned before you went on your merry way So you can resume pwning enemies outside much faster.

But clicking on the map will plant you on any number of spawn points inside the outpost so you have to run back to the exit each time.

"EDIT" That's all I could think of

Taking quests at lvl 16 will be the way for my LDoA ele. The grind from 16 to 17 is unbearable to me.

That's all there is to it. I was surprised two+ years ago to see chest runners in Boreal Station not using this. Was even more surprised a few days earlier then I saw loads of people in Foible's Fair mapping in and not resigning. Tried telling them but no one cared to listen.
