Default So is the desolation still hard place to vanquish with 7H?

I only have 8 vanqs left in NF for LV, 7 of which are in the desolation so I'll do a few tomorrow. I remember before 7H quite a few people had trouble in Joko's domain etc. Are these area's still hard, or are they a steamroll like everything else with 7H?

Thanks.

Imo you can steamroll them pretty easy with any meta build.
+ most of desolation is wurms, isnt it?

I did them before 7H and they weren't that much trouble. Just remember that in the Sulfurous Wastes there's a group in the northwestern corner that can only be reached by using the Junundu smash while next to a pillar to make a bridge. I had no idea about that when I first attempted to vanquish the Wastes, and I had to restart because the last mob was inaccessable.

From what I can remember it was pretty much steamroll in the past as well. I remember there being one area with an awakened paragon boss that gave me trouble because of 6 foes or something having a rez skill (paragons and monks). It was easier when I did it with 7H a while ago, so you shouldn't have any troubles ^^

It's easy to clear the groups outside and inside of the wurms, just be mindful of your DP when your in the wurms it adds up quickly

As I remember the above was the hardest part of Nightfall. Bring Frozen Soil and it should be easy.

The DP you rack up from the worms is kinda annoying, but like Eronia said, if your mindful of your DP. you can still steam roll anything.

The method i used may seem a bit long winded but it works.
When you start the run work upwards and head down the pass towards the margo bounty shrine and you shud be able to cast the smash skill on the pillar. Then i headed left and worked towards the area the pillar allows me to reach. If you wipe you can easily jump bk in a wurm and kill a few foes in wurm to lessen dp and then return to the pillar area.
Its quite long but means if you do them last then theres nothing to kill to drop dp except them.

Just done 5(!) of the areas today leaving just joko & sulfurous left now. Didn't find anything too bad, but the ressing stuff in wurms (when I have no frozen soil up) is annoying to kill. DP in wurms actually wan't too bad either. Had a mes hit 501% right at the end, but generally I managed to burn off any before I hopped out the wurms. Fingers crossed the last two will go smoothly tomorrow heh.

For Joko's, if you leave from Basalt Grotto, you can do all the non-Junundu areas first. On a Survivor character, I actually managed to do Joko's without dying even in a wurm.

One tip: if you equip yourself and as many heroes as possible with smiting weapons (holy damage), your Junundu attacks against the undead will do double damage.

Just finished it off. Really wasn't all that hard at all. Killed the ele and para boss first as the wiki said they'd be hardest. Both went down quick & easy. Finished LV now and only have LS to go, which I have a 400k xp head start on thanks to vanqs over the past week .
