Apply Poison, Pain Inverter, Savage Shot.

Kill off as many Destroyer elementalists as you can (and any other destroyers which spawn), then wait for The Great Disappointment to use Lava Ground which turns a piece of lava "safe" which is in fighting distance of him. Stand on that piece of lava...flag your heroes there. Use Degen and slap Pain Inverter on him. One interrupt and he usually loses about 75% of his health due to PI anyway, from them he's easy to finish off.

There for I will not be posting the build that we use due to teh fact that I do not want this thread to get closed. The title of my other post was (My allaround hm/vanquisher build.)

So when you run to Jaga Moraine from Longeye's Ledge, how do you avoid aggroing the Spectral Vaettirs at the Sacred Shrine?
Nvm .. did it , only takes alot of attention I suppose

I tried some missions for partially filled HM handbooks yesterday and found two fast ways to complete Curse of the Nornbear and Against the Charr. I am normally not into Handbooks so ignore if this has been posted.

Curse of the Nornbear:
I use a H/H team with dmg dealers only. No healing at all, no rez on the heroes. Doesnt matter what you take for damage as long as it can kill the bear.
My char was a perma SF sin with running skills + IAU against cripple and kd + Deaths Charge just in case the Mandragor condition you.

The run:
I run past the first group of Mandragors ignoring my h/h. The trick is to let them all die, therefor no healing. Try to get them as far as you can from the rez shrine and hug the left wall so you don't activate the shrine.

Run to the first spawn point (see image on page 1), trigger Nornbear appearance, run to second spawn, trigger bear, run to third spawn, trigger bear and let him kill you on the shrine. You do not have to attack the first two bears. Once they appear on one spawn point the next point is unlocked. You and your whole h/h team will rez on the shrine next to the final Bear fight. Kill him -> be happy.

Curse of the Nornbear 4:13 minutes in HM

Total time in HM: 5 min or less depending on your running setup and your teams dmg.

Against the Charr:
Solo, no heroes, no hench. I take a Perma SF sin with Sliver Armor, Ebon Battle Standards of Honor, "By Ural's Hammer", Deaths Charge and Dash.

Equipment: A +20% enchant staff on one slot, any daggers on another

The run: Run to the Vanguard Helmet as shown on the pic (page 1) avoiding battle. Watch for the skales Mystic Twister. After the cut scene run the route as shown on the pic (page 1) as there are only Charr on your way. Run towards the fort and recast your SF chain before taking aggro. Run past all Charr, avoiding to aggro the Prophet, target Harvest Soulreign and cast Death's Charge. Directly after teleporting to him cast Ebon Battle Standards of Honor, Sliver Armor and "By Ural's Hammer". After that switch to your daggers and attack him for additional dmg. You might need to cast SF only (no paradox or glyph since it wont take that long) again or Death's Charge for some heal.

I have done the run around twenty times yesterday in NM and HM and Sliver will always trigger on Harvest Soulreign. He will go down in max 10 seconds successfully ending the mission.

Against the Charr 02:26 minutes in HM

Time to complete: Around 2-4 minutes total, including the run to the helmet, depending on your running.

As said, ignore if this has been posted.

Assualt on the Stronghold: First kill the first 2 groups of Charr near the catapults. Once the Ceretadon spawns have a Protection Monk use Life Bond on it and try to keep it alive while it charges and attacks the gate. A hero monk can handle this role as well. 1 or 2 Ceretadons is all that is needed to take down the gate.
Once inside kill any Charr in your way and make your way to the pit where the Ebon Vanguard are being held and allow the Charr and Destroyers to fight each other. Once the fight is over simply clean up whoever is left and then proceed to kill the two groups of Charr Rangers on the buffs near the gate.

There works Well shity spirit WInds ... works wery well

Post SF Nerf - Against the Charr Solo

[build prof=A/E ear=12 dag=2 dead=1 sha=12 cri=1][Shadow Form][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][Sliver Armor][Brawling Headbutt][Aftershock][Death's Charge][Dwarven Stability][Dash][/build]

1. Make your run to the helmet.
2. Video shows the rest.

Switch Brawling and Afterschock for whatever you want/have/need. Doable as Sin secondary since SF doesn't need to be maintained.

Video: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=AEDgKLHru0o

Sorry for the poor quality but my PC sucks

Variation:

[build prof=E/A ear=12 sha=12 ene=3][Shadow Form][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][Sliver Armor][Brawling Headbutt][Aftershock][Death's Charge][Dwarven Stability][Dash][/build]

[Brawling Headbutt] can be replaced with:

[Earthquake] = only as E/A
[Club of a Thousand Bears] = with Melee Weapon
["You Move Like a Dwarf!"]

I've been running through these missions with H+H to max out my rep titles (6 books to go, yeah!) on my Mesmer. Some of the tips in this thread have been beyond useful for me, but I do have a couple of things to add:

For Assault on the Stronghold, I haven't even bothered using a lifebonder monk. Using the sabway setup with Mhenlo, Lina, Herta and Zho as my henchmen, I find the quickest way to get through this mission is to ignore the devourer catapults once you've claimed them, and charge to the gate with the Certadon. Standing at the spawn point for the Warriors that appear at the left side, you can pretty much take care of the Rangers and draw their fire, giving the Certadon enough time to break down the gate, and also kill off the left side spawns of warriors in the process. I find the right side warrior spawns can be handled for a while by the warband. If you place yourself properly, one side of the rangers won't be able to reach you with their fire, and the henchies will keep the Certadon healed up. Worst case scenario I've ever had here is when Livia got spiked down on my initial charge in there, but this tactic hasn't failed me yet.

It doesn't matter if the catapults get reclaimed by the Warrior spawns, I find, and they can be ignored once you go through the gate anyway. The other fun thing is that if a catapult gets reclaimed by the Charr, the warrior spawns stop.

For G.O.L.E.M, I used the tactic of clearing out the Destroyers before triggering the attack waves. Again, I used the standard sabway setup, Mhenlo, Lina, Herta and Zho. I also followed some advice posted here, and flagged my heroes and henchies at the entrance to the spawn point of the Destroyers (which is the place where the Bringers of Destruction spawn for those who aren't sure where this is). All you need to do then is hold out with the spawns (which should be no problem) until the progress bar has filled up. Once you get the next quest objective, it doesn't matter if any stray destroyers make it to the golem kilns - you won't fail the mission once you have the 4th objective in your quest log. I actually found this out the hard way on my first attempt at this method, mainly because I didn't prioritise the Destroyer of Thought spawns as I should have (as a Mes, I run hex heavy setups).

This method will most likely take longer than some of the other strategies posted in this thread, but it is the safest way if you're stuck with H+H for this mission. Another thing to be wary of - the final objective bosses, the Bringers of Destruction, will spawn before you have the objective in your log. If you kill any of them before the objective is in your log, they won't 'count' as kills once the objective does appear. You'll have to restart the mission. Bearing this in mind, flag your heroes just outside of the entrance to the spawn point, as opposed to inside it. Again, this is another thing I found out the hard way.

I haven't bothered timing my runs through these missions, just offering alternatives for HM in some missions with a H+H setup. Hope it comes in useful.

GOLEM HM go around left side kill all destroyers near the spawn area.
flag the HH where the destroyer of earth and the other destroyer was just at the peak of the spawn area go activate quest and run back while golems heat up when the 2 bosses spawn let them come up to u. dont be ontop ofem when they spawn, ull bugg quest. 9 min no fail 3 necros and talon and devona mehnlo and lina
Assault HM kill 2 group char set devours to left gate and right gate
the echo EVAS and target the seekers on left bluff get 3 or more the dino will not need protection to bust the gate down and the dino will still be alive when u get to destroyers 10 min tops,
DD my fav
with ele ill go air, monk smite, Rt spirit spam, and war lighting weapon mod
here the hardest part everyone hates my shortcut
when u enter where the dreaded bridge is, no listen take a right all the way to where the door opening is to the right of the green star w8 there 4 destroyers will come thru door kill them, then some will come from the oppisite side of green star stay by the door where thee 4 came from and kill others, then the avitare of destruction spawn u kill him b4 he even gets close and then pull the remaining to u with 2 melle 1 defend golem is easy and ull never even think of that dreaDED bridge again
in the CTC kill left side then proceed to lower left side golems will power down usally where the disc of choas cannot get around use pi and ebon sin on him ull lafff at how easy DD really is as for the rest of book bloodstone is just tricky getting to Good Luck lemme know if my short cuts hlpd

For ATFH I used 2 accounts and used 4 discord heroes, a ER protter ele with extinquish, and a UA monk with extinquish with me as a W/D with I am strongest and PI. Breezed through in just under 2 minutes. Obviously not everyone has 2 accounts or someone to dual it with but just a suggestion.

Well It has been a very long time since I have looked at this thread. If anyone doubts my times on Destructon Depths or a full run I will gladely take you with me and show you how to do it. Alot of people do not realise that after completing the norn part on the 2nd floor you can run to the end of the level and not have to fight the last what 3 groups of enemies. Also KEEP THE GOLEMS ON DEFENSE NOT RANGED AND NOT MELEE. Melee they will not use a skill they will just attack. Range they will just attack. Defense they will attack in melee but also use a Healing skill that causes AOE damage to foes nearby. Think about how much more dmg that is in destruction depths when 3 of them are not only attacking in melee but also spamming the crap outta the skill.....

I will gladely be taking people with me during the next double book weekend to show them how to do each mission just as fast as the times I posted.

How does a full book in this style compare with the 3 quests done via speedbooking in terms of average rep points per hour?
