Default Ideal progression for E/Me?

I just created an E/Me and my focus will be:
Fire Magic - 12
Energy Storage - 9
Inspiration - 9
(with items)

I am currently level 4 in pre-Ascalon. I have all of my skills, the extra skill point, and belt pouch.
Im trying to solo as much as possible right now, and post-searing. I know E/Me isnt a solo character but im on a shoddy laptop right now and I wouldnt want to hold a group down.... the performance is very poor.

How hard is it to level post-searing from 4? Grinding is fine... I would rather do it post-searing than pre though. Im just trying to kill time productively until the new computer comes in. Upgrading my newbie equipment would be nice too.

If anyone has a certain pattern they run, please share.

Thanks.

Quit with fire, pick up something else, and you should be fine.

Fire is good for PvE, but in PvP fire generally doesn't cut it, unless you wanna use mark of rodgort to any extent. However, even if you use the Mark, you probalby won't be using any of your current PvE skills for PvP.

Is it feasable to run a PvE build until 20 and then switch to PvP? It seems so with the refund points but I would like to be 100% positive.

Also, if all Ele are running air builds, wouldnt PvPers concentrate on anti-air armor? In that case fire would work perfect correct?

From what I seen on the skill listing, the damage comes out to around the same. What does air offer over fire that is so uber?

Also, any advice on the pre to post searing move in regards to leveling?

Thanks again.

I'm wondering the same thing. As most of you know, you start off with fire skills when you're an elementalist, so I figured it'd make sense to stick with it, unless I find some amazing skills in another medium. Though, it seems that there isn't much superior over the damage of fire.

I started out as an E/ME and have yet to find anything BUT 2 or 3 crappy non fire spells. (lvl16 at the wilds) I'm still useing flare and firestorm which I got in pre sear as i have yet to find anything better.
