Default Attack or Defend in Tombs?

Here's the deal. What do you guys prefer and why. Sitting on your ass at your priest because your "defending" him or rushing others teams to kill their priest, which most likely means your own priest will also get killed.

Personally, I think that waiting is just pointless most of the time. Unless you have Wards or Trap Ranger, your team will most likely get killed and your priest with it, be it that your there to defend him or not. If you manage to kill the team attacking you, you probably wont have the time to reach their priest before they all respawn and you have to fight the whole team all over again. It's just seems a waste of time to me.

Obviously, I prefer rushing in and slaughtering the other team and their priest while I'm at it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a mindless warrior running around alone but having my whole team with me. Most of the time, if your fast enough to kill the first team your fighting, you can take down others teams while they are still weakened by their first battle.

Anyway, I'd like to know others opinion. I already had 2 persons in my team calling me a noob and telling me I had no tombs experience and that they did. That I should listen to others with more knowledge in PvP and how great they are because they played a lot of GvG... Dont know, it seemed ironic to me.

Do both. Wait for them to come to you, send out a 3-4 man team to kill thier priest. Leave at least 1 monk behind to keep your priest alive, as well as some other people to keep the team occupied on top of trying to kill your priest.

If they dont come, go to them full force and go for thier priest, then retreat to your base if you took some heavy losses in the assault. Keep an eye out though for them sending a team and be prepared to deal with it.

Both ways are fine. There is no right answer as long as you can adapt to changing situations. It is usually better to fight closer to your own priest once thier priest is dead. That way your reinforcments are closer if they are rezzed by the priest.

In the multi-team matches with priests, we tend to see who attacks us, then go for thier priest. Wait, charge, retreat after priest is dead.

Waiting around with the priest is just asking for a team with a few Elementalists to drop some whopping AEs on you and roll you in a matter of minutes. Most of the PUG groups I do tombs with try this and get creamed.

The times I've been most successful in Tombs is when I'm with a guild team that works well together, coordinates, and is confident in their own abilities. You only need the priest if you're going to die... and since we never expect to die, we never worry about him. If you have a tight team, rush around executing the other teams one at a time, and don't even think about your priest.
