Question HOH setup...

I do a lot of PVP fighting in the hall of heros, but I never seem to get past the first round or two. How many of each type of profession should I bring to actually be a good team? Like...how many monks, warriors, and eles should I invite to my group and what type?

well cohesive guild builds are always going to run over a pug build their isnt much you can do about it. the reason is that they pick specific builds that complement eachother. Ill give you an example mind you its not uber or anything but say you have a protection monk running lifebond blessed signet ect.. then a ranger running symiosis will be nice. anyway im getting off my soap box here is a balanced build.

basic healing setup:
2 monks healing speced one could be a divine boon build but it requires more skill
1 protection monk if you can get a good one they make quite a bit of a diffrence
most group builds don't differ from this to much.

damage setup however can be any number of things but you need some basics interuption disenchantment and snares. Warriors heavy groups need snares and rigor mortis ect.. Most of the groups im in have 1 mesmer for shutdown 1 necro or someone with necro for enchantment removal. I would balance out your damage that way its harder to counter. to many teams have been running ele heavy builds so counters for this are alot more common especialy the deeper you get in hoh. Have a specified reser someone who imediatly gets your monk up with a restore life when they go down, confusion in this respect will lead to problems.

the reason i didnt list specific classes you need is because it doesnt matter all of the classes that arent ment for healing have some of these.

anyway I hope that wasn't to vague and it helped a bit.
