So, my War/Nec is doing pretty well, at least compared to my previous characters. I've done the first two Missions with no trouble plus a whole bunch of Quests, and I'm midway through level 10. Sprint, Frenzy, Sever, Gash, Siphon Life, Mark of Pain, Soul Feast, Res Signet -- not an ideal build, I know, but it's working fine so far. Using an 8 armor shield (though I'm thinking of switching to a 6 armor, 5 energy) and the Ascalon Razor that you get from a few collectors. All good, pretty much.

But I'm still in my noob armor, the stuff you get at the very beginning, except for some collector gauntlets. My previous warrior bought crafter Ringmail as soon as she went post-searing, and I have more than enough gold to do that with this one, but I hesitated because I wanted to check out Ascalon Armor. Turns out, fur squares? Big pain in the butt to get, even with the new collector. So here are my options:

1. Bite the bullet and get crafter ringmail. I've gotten used to the look.
2. Try to get more fur squares. Seems like a losing proposition.
3. Find the rest of the collectors. The problem of course being that I have no clue where they are. Which is annoying, because I think colllector ringmail is much better looking than crafter ringmail or Ascalon.
4. Or, wait until I get to a place with better crafter armor. I have no idea when this will occur, but I have a feeling I might need better armor in the interval.

What should I do?

I went through this myself, and here's what helped me. Firstly, read the following article all the way through and check out the section at the end regarding warriors...

Then go to this site and lookup the armor for your profession...

Wow, thanks all! I went ahead and crafted Ringmail. Except the helm -- I used my one fur square to make an Ascalon helm, and I think I look pretty cool in it.

Thanks so much for all the info, I'll be much better prepared next time I make armor decisions (probably around Lion's.)
