Default Cold Ranger

Someone somewhere may have already suggested it and I am not gonna go through all of the posts but I barely see it used so I'm gonna post it.

Have 5 rangers and 3 HEALING monks.

It's a deviation from a spirit build so bear with me.

All rangers spam winter, and each ranger brings a respective spirit (Natures renewal, favourable winds, frozen soil etc) and 3 rangers takes practiced stance as their elite (spare one maybe for something flexiable) and choking gas. Casters are taken care of.

The two other rangers bring crippling shot and warriors should be taken down after casters. Rangers can be left last.

Heres the key. Each ranger has to have frostbound armor on and each monk needs to be secondary mesmer and have cold attunement(i forget the proper name but it states that a portion of cold dmg is reduced and energy is gained). Winter will make all elemental dmg cold seeing as most characters even warriors and rangers do elemental dmg. This screws over air spikers and the choking gas should stop any smiters as well.

Again it has most likely been suggested before but probably very underrated.

the mesmer skill is mantra of frost

have one ranger bring greater conflagaration as their elite, then all physical is fire elemental, stack winter on that and everything is cold

This is a necessity of any ranger build. Simply to keep your monks alive agaisnt spikes.

Wow, thats cool. But since Air Elementalists have air damage....Wait, ah they have frostbound armour I see. Wow thats cool but pin down doesn't last that long. The warriors could get to you with hamstring and make you slow down too.

Crippling Shot {elite} Lasts 15 seconds and has a 10 second cool down. That will keep a warrior pinned all of the time, and 2 warriors pinned 75% of the time.

thats cool n all. i usually always have 1 ranger sprinkling poison around as well for that extra fast take town time.
