Default 16 sword or 16 strength?

Which would come out to be more effective passively (Without use of skills)?

And on another note, does anyone know the maximum armor penetration you can have?

Without the use of skills obviously swordsmanship because strength armor penetration only affects skill attacks.

But any way you do it I think weaponmastery at 16 with strength 9-11 depending on your build will give you the best damage output.

If you're using tons of str skills i.e. power attack, protector's strike, griffon's sweep, then maybe str might edge weaponmastery out because of the extra damage those skills give. But other than that, the only reason i'd have strength high is if I'm using a warrior's endurance or perhaps a flourish/battlestance build.

IMO the weaponmastery at 16 is just too good for a warrior, 15% isn't much but it's more than what strength will give you (most of the time as a warrior you're attacking low AL targets anyways), the crit rate increase, the weaponmastery attack skills, it's just an all around damage increase.

It is hard to say. The damage output increase from 15 to 16 swordmanship may actually be lower than that from 1% additional penetration from strength increase. So I'm not going to jump into conclusion that swordmanship is better. You have to test it yourself to be sure.

I'd take weapon just for the critical increase. The +15% and skills dmg bonus is nice as well.

That is the case, but without using skills it would be better to place those points into Swordmastery or whatever your weapon fancy.

Without using skills there is only one answer and it's not strength.

Strength is applied only on skills.

16 strenght!
General weapon attacks are not worth more than 12, so attribute skill is worth more on Skills!

Titles are obtained by post count.
A person that posted frequently in Off-Topic, or the buy/sell/misc sub-forums could accumulate enough posts to achieve the title easily.

The only accurate judge of a person's posting history is to actually manually go through their posts and read, or at least skim a decent amount.
