Healing spring is a very extremely good skill when combined with monks and wards i've found my guild team unbeatable using healing spring.

Ya, it can be interrupted, but countering interruption hehe.. wont go in to detail.. just takes co-ordination and teamwork don't underestimate healing spring! ! ! ! !

And.. It doesn't have that much healing power? haha? permanent healing? no thats a very bad thing isnt it Hawk, saving the monks energy is a bad bad thing we don't wanna do that hehe. not saying its essential for ranger teams by a long shot, just not to be underestimted.

Well I thought it was Kansas who first brought up the whole discussion on this forum in the first place. They probably weren't the first to figure out fertile at the time, but they sure were the first guys to say "look at me, my fertile owns air gank" whereas the rest of the people who knew kept their mouths shut. So in a sense, they made it popular. If you think there was another team like iQ or whatever that made it famous, then post a link or something that has alot of responses. Most of the guilds that know things first usually don't publicize it very fast.

If spring was the problem then I'd agree with you. Your build doesn't counter Nature's renewal or FS.

Not only that it doesn't counter spirits so much as caves into them and tries to beat them at their own game.

If a ranger team is spamming NR and Fertile season without spring there's still a problem and they don't have to cluster together.

I don't think anyone is saying that healing spring is too powerful.

Nobody has mentioned signet of humility yet? Just getting signet humility on a lower recharge timer (either via zephyr, echo, mantra of ..., or whatever) and keeping it on the ranger will go a long way towards stopping the spamming and give you enough time to go at the spirits and knock out the important ones.

Spirits need to be nerfed a lot. Stacking spirits is almost as abusive as stacking hexes used to be. You shouldn't be able to put out more than one copy of a spirit at a time and there should be a spirit that kills all other spirits on entry EoE is not good enough.

Both of you're suggestions are overwhelming nerfs to spirits. What spirits need are small alterations like taking away their body-blocking ability, and making NR an elite or altering it in some other way, making it possible for all those Enchantments and Hexs to be used in tombs that are impossible to use under NR.

Considering that you can spam them infinitely as quickly as every 10 secs it is non-interruptible and therefore takes no skill to use it needs a very heavy nerf.

Not to mention just a few pts in the proper attribute will keep the spirit up longer than its recharge. And that's not taking into account QZ.

Spirits are broken all to hell. They hurt so many builds that they need to be nerfed really badly for the metagame to be opened up to more possibilities.

And if there are like 5 copies and more coming down every 10 secs? You're wasting your time killing spirits while their offense is killing your monks.

The nice thing about it - the rangers already bring zephyr for you, so no need to take a slot

Honestly, I think this is one ability that can at least hinder the spam to a degree where it does not completely mess up your team. Furthermore the Signet is not completely useless against other builds, it hurts every team when they lose their Spellbreaker, Ether Renewal, etc.

I've always been asked to bring Primal Echoes in a ranger group, so there u go.

as for healing spring, i personally never played on a team that relies it. Most spirit spaming group bring 3 monks.

I played as a spirit spammer and a spirit spammer shut downner (interrupter). both worked quite well aginst some teams as I come down to the conclusion that player skill is really the main factor. Have a good team leader and good team communication is the most important thing for any team.

Gawd I love what if posts.

What if I do this, What if I do this? Then I do this, Then I do this... but what if I do this and this... then I do this and this. And the cycle keeps going around until you get to where you started.

I'll just say it the most simplistic way one can.

Every build has a counter build period.

Builds can be beat by non-counter builds if builds are played badly in the 1st place. There is no One uber build that wins all always.

If you are having so much trouble with spirits and they piss you off that bad build a team thats sole purpose is to defeat spirit spamming teams than, but don't expect to beat much else.
