Default ok the 55/105 monks in random pvp is getting OLD

every other noob monk is running this build in PvP praying for a chance that they are against a team that cannot counter it...and if they do, they're wiped out in seconds becoming completely useless to their team
you are NOT impressing anybody running it so do everybody a favor and stop

Run enchantment removal... it's all you can really do.

I don't think he's having trouble taking them out. I think he's tired of getting them in his group. I could care less anymore, Random arena is pretty nice for testing builds(until you get 4 test build characters that don't work well), but I think this build has been butchered, and countered easily already.

I haven't had the pleasure(?) to meet such a monk in random arena yet, but with all the Necros running Life Transfer, can this build even win a few rounds?

Mesmer are very rare, so enchantment removale is not that big of a problem. But bleeding and poison from a ranger, life transfer, diseas from a necro are quite common... So I think this can't be fun? or am I wrong?

I was fighting one on my w/r. We couldn't kill him for about 2 minutes, then thank the Lord, our elementalist brought rend. He died in about....1.5 seconds.

This one time in Random Arena camp I got one of those on my team, and Natures just happens to be in my bar. To amplify the eerie coincidence, he happened to kind of get on my sack by spamming his health at all times (My health is 53 of 55. Repeat infinitely).

For some reason, even though we won 12 (or something to the likes) in a row all wins featured several fatalitys on his part. I could have kept dropping NR all day, it was kind of turning me on.

see the real use of this build in the random arenas is that the other team will go after him first because hes a monk which should give you some time to chip away at the other team

Heheh, I faced one of them when our team had no counters for it. I told my team to run around for a bit, before the monk new what hit him I had poison and bleeding on him from hunters shot and poison arrow, died before he could cast healing breeze.

They're sometimes annoying, but not as annoying as the uninformed players shouting "hacker", or the more likely "teh h4xx0r". I'm glad that the random arena has found fit to play a game of cosmic attrition with the 2 teams, but nothing is more annoying than random teams placing blame. No, we should not have brought enchantment removal (well, ye we should have but...), since we didn't really have the chance to coordinate.

I guess the mesmers are gonna enjoy more popularity as a primary and secondary.

I always thought that Mesmers were popular in PvP...and it was PvE where they were shunt into a corner.

Meh, to me its pretty easy to see why someone would do that in random. First, its really self-sufficient, which is good in an environment where you cannot rely on your allies. Also, random arena is often times a joke, so taking a 105 build and being invincible is pretty funny. You can't kill...but...it's all good in the end.

I've been running a domination mesmer (in numerous variants) in the random 4v4 areans for quite some time now - 1 of my "never leave home without" spells is Shatter Enchantment - so I LOVE fighting 105hp monks - it's free faction.

With the number of necros in arena and many of whom bring one or both of life transfer or vampiric gaze, these monks dont seem to be too bad. With gaze, its hilarious to kill them in one spell.

Problem being that good 105 monks always keep up a crap enchantment so you strip that first. The first enchantment stripping is a near miracle. Someone throwing down a second one quickly is a fairy tale. Necro skills are the way to go here with the multiple enchantment removal. NR will work too, but angers baby Jesus.

Heck yeah to the good monk! I'd never use it in PvP, preferring to use my Me/E, but I'll farm often in PvE.

You guys must be talking about idiot copy-cat newbs who can't really play a good 105 monk. They say that that build is invincible against all but remove enchants, but I'll go up against 3 or 4 at a time. Jade Scarabs used to tear me to shreds when I first created a slight variation of this build. But in short order, I realized that breeze/soj/B. aura would be removed instead, while I remain safely enchanted.

Sever artery + gash = lol to a good monk. Unless you can interrupt and neutralize Breeze (concussion shot, diversion to name a few ways), he shouldn't feel a thing.

Still, it's a pretty lame PvP build, IMO of course!
