I wasn't talking about obsidian flesh. I mean for kinetic armor and armor of earth. Plus flesh has a recharge of 30 seconds, but it only lasts for about 20 at best.(including the enchantment mod) It isn't bad, i'd rather use physical resistance though.

You'll melt under fire from Kindle Arrows using Rangers when using Physical Resistance.

aboviously you don't know a thing about armor. +30 armor is both physical and elemental.
you can get huge amounts of armor and let breeze, healing hands, and orison easily heal you.
only things that hurt are mes

sorry if I'm honest again, but that build isn't really good.
You have to recast a spell every 9seconds so that kinetic last. What will you do against enchant removal?
And as you have so many defense spells. You have no place for energy management, only just a few left for healing spells. Sorry man, but that suckz.

perhaps youself will survive a lot, but what with the team if you have weak heal spells, and no energy to use them?
Think about the role of a monk again. A monk's job is it to keep the rest of the team alive, not only himself. If you're sure about that, come and post a monk build again.
If people just will go on and bost full self-defence builds, I could spamm you a forum with selfdefence builds.
Will it help someone?
No it wont, you will get sweared at by your teammates and loose the fight anyways.

actually, you were completely off...
I just came back from some playing, easily made it to 16 straight win from the first random team i get.
I used
Dwayna's kiss
orison of healing
healing breeze
healing seed
kinetic armor
glyph of lesser energy
obsidian flesh
vengeance
11 earth
10+3 healing
10+1 divine favor
+11% enchant mod (yea i didnt unlock a max one)
and no other mod (forgot to put one, doh)
the healing was just fine, after all... everyone love a piece of monk. Even if the team is smart enough to not target me anymore, what are they going to do?
my team mate was a beast master (oh yea...) an e/w with hammer (oh yea x2) and a more typical axe warrior.
The only part we lost was when we got seperated and constantly interrupted from knockdown and regular interrupts, but that was because I screw up on recovering my kinetic armor.
We did fight some good teams (a few guild, forgot name... but they were indeed better than the rest we have fought), where it was much closer in death toll... but we came out on top.
It only need a few twist to go straight into tomb.
I did meet a few good mesemer in random arena who snuck a few backfire on me (i think he counted my obsidian flesh or something, quite nice), but by the time I die... their team is at the point of no return.

Knockdowns, blackout(Its a skill not a spell), interrupts and snares keep that and any other monk in one place and unable to heal muchless rebuff.

Do you mean Glyph of Lesser Energy because Glyph of Energy is an Elite?
I like this idea, especially for CA where everyone is just going to attack the monk, and whilst you're taking the damage the rest of your team is finishing them off.

As monk you should always get that far if your team isn't really crap.

hehe
A necro kills your monk without a problem.
A ranger just still interruppts the 2 skills you HAVE to recast to keep the armor up.
A mesmer can still just count the seconds of obsidian flesh and interrupt everything in the 6 second window.
An ele knocks you down.
A monk can just smite you.
your build owns man, but only against newbie warriors that dont interrupt. enjoy.

armor isn't everything.
not all damage is affected by armor. degens, obsidian flame, balthazar's aura, some of the necro line...
a lot of ways to take this char down.

kinetik is just too easy to beat by interrupting.
and as the recast & casttime are way too long, you will get disabled while you try to cast it again on you.
