I only got in 7 or 8 games before my guildies showed up for GvG, but it was a blast - I'll definitely look you up again in the future.

Like a lot of folks it seems, I had trouble with a brand-new installation of Vent and my mic. Is there a random free server anyone can recommend where I can go noodle around until I figure out how to get it reliably working? It's a bit OT, I know, so maybe PM me?

Not sure if that was sarcasm but Mending is an illegal skill in iQ. You use it you're cut, so I don't think you'll be bringing that anytime soon with us. Other illegal skills (not an exhaustive list but you should get the point) are:
- Searing Heat
- Flare
- Anything that has Rodgort written on it
- Ice Spear
- Mind Freeze
- Anything related to minions
- Beat skills unless you know what you're doing
- Desperation Blow
- I Will Avenge You (cause no one dies

)
- RUST !!?!
- Basically anything that sucks

I think you guys should keep track of the people you TA'ed with thorugh this project. When its finished post a list of the peope and how they fared with you (might get a little monotonous if they all are "won 20 straight before we had to go" but hey Itd be impressive to show what iQ did with random people from guru.)

Anytime we refer to mending in a good light we're being sarcastic. hehe. Except in PvE. Mending does have a place in PvE running.

I was on the iQ team that beat the other iQ team. The monks were using inspired enchant to grab enchantments off other teams and they did get mending a few times I think, but not against the other iQ team. I think he was being sarcastic.

Oh yeah, we went on a twenty win streak, with all but one victory being flawless.

It was a good time. iQ guys seemed quite cool.

I'd like you to expand on that analogy, if possible, because it doesn't seem apt to me. Then again you might have a clearer perspective from the outside looking in.

I'd say the thread's a lot like our runs in Team Arena- a lot of win streaks and positive feedback, with the occasional bump in the road. Roll with it and move on.

Anyone who wants to win, be social, be made fun of, and have fun and get faction is welcome to come play for a while. You might not like us, we might not like you. So what? Move on.

Two iQ/hybrid teams sounds like a lot of fun to me-I'm sure I'll meet more of you soon!

First of all I'm way better than TO. Second of all chill out ... it's just a game. if your fragile ego can't handle a little constructive criticism then you're never gonna get better at this game. Sure we talk a lot of trash but it's almost always among ourselves. The few times we actually trash talk in local chat is when people grief in arena or provoke us in tombs. Most of the time though we just bite our tongues.

When new people join up with us we might bash your build a little and even poke fun at you. The end result though is that you become a better PvP player and learn a lot. Furthermore, you're more than welcome to poke fun right back at us. I've had a blast playing with some of the new people from guru so far and from the looks of it, it seems like they had a good time as well.

If having a TO like attitude as you so put it is what it takes to have fun then so be it. That being said I doubt TO would take the time to teach people how to be better WRs.

Err, to expand I would be willing to play any class. I have Monk/Necro/Ranger/Mesmer about 90% unlocked, I am missing a few of the elites and some of the pet skills. I think the only common, good ones I lack are Spellbreaker and Greater Conflag. Warrior/Ele are more like 75% unlocked. Am missing a fair amount more on them.

I was having some connection issues last night so I wasn't able to stick through the whole thing, but it sounded like a lot of fun.

If you haven't caught on yet, we make a lot of noise on Ventrilo - maybe not as much as Wa and their Gunther fetish, but we do our best. Arena is fun time, and part of the fun in this is getting to play with new people and joking and trashtalking with them. So don't be shy, make fun of us when we nub it. We might be serious on the boards but when we're in game we're too busy yelling at each other for double-stacking Mending to be mean. Hell, the highlight for me so far was seeing OddSock log into vent with Neo in the channel and suddenly get all apologetic. You could almost hear the moment when he realized that the names on the forum were actually people. It was so cute.

What I would like is for people to relate anything helpful they might have learned from our matches back to the community. The focus of this forum is on builds, and things like strategy and tactics kinda get ignored if we aren't taking them for granted. So if you notice us doing something tactically or approaching a situation in a new way, or just see something in our use of vent that doesn't seem like common knowledge, I'd appreciate it if you'd point it out to the community so that we can discuss it.

That had to have been a record moment to be savored for all eternity. Although, i cant imagine smacktalking towards the guys i have run with for the past few years off an on across different games. I have nothing to prove to them really, but ill definatly comment on whats going on around us.
