One I'm using that seems to be doing me well in CA

W/N

Axe 12 + 4
Tactics 9 + 1
Strength 3 + 1
Curses 9

Eviscerate (Elite)
Axe Rake
Executioners Strike
Sprint
Rigor Mortis
Plague Touch
Healing Signet
Res Signet

The self healing is reasonably good for when you lack a monk on your team - the plague touch is a good for curing conditions and turning the battle (how I love it when rangers use throw dirt) and the damage output on it is extremely high. Rigor Mortis is great against distortion mesmers, or stance warriors and rangers. I suppose it's main weakness are hexes, I've struggled against necros at time, spiteful spirit, spirit of failure, clumsiness, hate them

Definetly boon protect monk, they absolutely rape 4vs4 if your team is good because up against a mesmer with diversion or a knockdown warrior, you got some trouble, contemplation of purity is awesome though even the skill icon

If you're doing IW, you should go Me/R instead, to bump illusion up to 16. Go IW, blackout, channel (covers your IW), serpent quickness, storm chaser (b/c everybody runs from a blackout caster), mantra concentration, Ether Feast, Rez.

Blackout works with expertise I think which is why people often choose the ranger primary.

There's also the armor bonus - if something is shutting your casters down constantly you'll want to get rid of it quickly, and rangers don't go down too quick

That's a really spread out character, amused. It would have serious problems.

Monkhunter-necro

Courses + smite

Coreskills:

Defile flesh
Scourge healing
Spitefull spirit
Malaise
Mark of Subversion

Optional skills:

Rez <- i use
weakness <- i use
Rend Enchantments <- i use
Faintheartedness
Smite hex
Strip Enchantment
Life syphon (use Soullech instead of Spitefull spirit then, lower courses, raise blood, smite only 11 then, Malaise + defile flesh are still very long at about lvl8+-)

Courses 12 + 1+ 3
Smite 12
Soulreaping rest+1

Usage:

If the 3 hexes are on the monk the trap is closed :
He heals for an 100 orison.
- gets only 66 for defile flesh,
- the rest healing gets destroyed by scourge healing
- spitfull spirit does damage, no healing at all.

Spread scourge healing on several foes, so the monk is forced to heal itself if he heals his allies. Use Malaise to cover your hexes or to trigger this nasty hexbreaker 2x before your hexvolley. You need only this necro and ONE damage dealer (even a pally *gg*) to kill the monk real fast. A single monk in 4vs4 is dead for sure in 10-15 seconds, protters even faster. If you expect the monk to use hexremoval use mark of subversion right after your other hexes. The only guy i had problems to shut down was a heavy contemplation/boon/holy veil user, he could save his own ass longer, but wasnt able to save any of his mates then.

Try it, its my favorit monk-killer in 4vs4 atm...
Teams often make me target after they realize what i do, even if my own monk is still alive they just hate you all, warriors for weakness+spitefull, monks for well ...killing them ?...

you can also go soullech instead of spitefull, but i like beeing able to annoy anyone else round too.
