I do TA simply because I grow tired of searching for 7 smart players each time I want to do Tombs. TA requires you to find only 3 average players so it's much easier and faster -and funnier to me, whom I'm not the leader of a PvP oriented guild.

On seeing this thread, I was reminded of an idea I had a while back on how to get a bit more challenge into the Team Arena. If it pleases you, I have elaborated on it in this thread over in the Sanatarium

TA is boring as hell, Tombs is hard to get a group if your not doing the current builds or with friends and guildys, I love CA because its randomness not garunteeing you constant winning and plus fighting against noobs such as iw mesmers that use frenzy =O

I play TA from CA. I generally can get a good fifteen + wins in TA when I get there, but we will run into some really awesome builds once in a while... like that E/Mo, Mo/E, and dual-mesmer build that completely RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed over our two-monk team.

Many of the TA teams are horrible, but some of them are actually okay, if not good.

I'd play tombs if I was allowed a microphone so I could communicate on TS-- people tend to frown when I tell them I can only listen and can't talk. So I play TA instead.

I prefer CA much more to TA for testing build and for some challenge. you more then often end with groups without a monk and when u get many consecutive wins with such strange teams is more fun

I love teams and random 4x4 as well. We had loads of fun last night with a pet smite build. It is very weak, but had success with it because you never know what you are going to go up against. I was laughing uncontrollably watching people runnning away from the wolves. We named them Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp. You can't do that sort of build in tombs. No one will even let you in a group without a proven build. I think we've reached a point where people have discovered most of the best builds for each class combination.

I spend most of my time there because I like experimenting a lot. I get bored using the same build for more than a day.

i was playing ranger interrupt and we had an amazing monk and we got through 5 battles, with 3 flawless, and they were probably the 5 best battles i every did, lasting 6-13 minutes each and beating some guilds along the way

and ill never forget this one mesmer i targeted (quoted word for word) :

"DIE RANGER"
"ranger...you make me sad"

I love using my ranger for interrupts too, and through the whole game on the lava map this monk couldnt cast a single spell and said things like "faggit ass ranger" and such it was great
