Default Mo/w 8hp Griff Farm Build

Great Way To Farm Griffons And You Dont Even Need That Pesky 5th Sup Rune

Runes- 4 Sup Runes(one of each) 1 Major Rune Of Ur Choice
Weapon-Sword or Axe With Enchatments Last Longer, Dont matter 1 handed tho
Focus Item- -50hp item from cities of ascalon quest

Stats-
13-Healing
12-Protection
12-Divine Favor
12-Smiting
3-Tactics

Skills-
Protective Spirit
Balthazars Aura
Bontti's Defense
Shield Of Judgement(elite) (or zealots faster with shield of judge tho :/)
Healing Breeze
Balthazars Spirit
Mending
Blessed Aura

1. Go into prophets path outside of Augury Rock
2.go to the rockshot devoruor just outside and let him kill you (you should have 80hp when ur out of town without dp)
3. After u die ull get rezed and ull have 15% dp and 8hp, cats mending, balthazars spirit, and blessed aura
4. head off forward from the rez point and cast prot spirit
5. continue arggoing all griffons (try to avoid devourors) keep casting prot spirit to survive
6. Avoid boss "ScreamingClaw"...Go ahead an kill "FeatherFist" tho
7. once most or all of the griffons r arggoed stop and cast healing breeze and bonttis and prot spirit once u sure they r all on cast shield of judge and balthas aura (cast balthazars aura a bit after shield of judge)
8. keep spamming those 5 skills untill all griffons are dead
9. pick up drops and warp back to augury rock and repeat

Switch to Mo/Me take out Blessed Aura, throw in Mantra of Resolve. Congrats, now you can take on all the scorps with SoJ.

Or your also screwd if you dont kill all the griffons and minos at the same time ince your dp will dissapear fast and when that 1 dmg turns into alot more then you are ready for. But why so high healing prayers. You only need 8 to get 3 out of mending and 6 in breeze = 9 pip = max. So you could raise some others. Dont really need 3 in tactics either but that mite be left over

Yet why do people mod a build and try to say 'this is better'
fyi you dont have a run spell so all the griffens wont arrgo at once.
everyone knows they dont all attack at once.
your smite dmg will do less and to aviod the scrops id would reccomend a RUNING SKILL if you dont know this, DESERT GRIFFENS RUN JUST AS FAST AS YOU DO even while using a run spell.

you've made this harder than it needs to be.

The build is great - until you actually kill one of the monsters.

This is why 8HP monks carry an alternate peice of armor with Superior Vigor on it..so once a few minos or griffons die they can lvl their HP out and basically alternate to being a 55hp Monk in theory.

Check out Bones' video somewhere in here he has an 8 hp monk in action - gets himself killed at the first rockshot trap to get the low HP then goes from there, but does swap stuff through the fight.

I think it's much easier to use the 105 build with a -20hp icon and die once to get to 13hp, once the first monsters start dying & you lose your DP, I switch weapon sets to the -50hp icon and run the standard 55hp build. My build also kills them all in one huge mob, including both bosses at once and it never fails.

Hint: Once the EoE goes off, they all die. Even the stragglers off in the distance. About 15 seconds start to finish.

The Mo/W build works, but it's kind of counter-productive to run SoJ and Bonetti's since it feeds off of being hit. Plus, you usually need to cast balths's aura and SoJ once more.

this build works perfectly fine...the dp is no probelm sure it wears off as u go but its works wonders like i said if u wanna see a demo ~pm me~
and tudor use i was in brutus' guild u should join the one talon started

dont mean to to double post but a run skill is a waste of space

sure it is when scorps appear /sarcasim; but it use to be only 6 griffens would arrgo at once; if you hit a run spell they ALL attacked (no more spectators).

its also a watse of time to go kill yourself then farm.

oh and if you just happen to walk past a flame trap without breeze on your screwed. scorp's walk around and trap it up.

I use an 11hp build: 5 runes, -50 icon, 15%dp, sword pommel of fortitude +28

Ideally I would like to have 14 health, because then enemies still only do 1 damage, but you have more of an air bag to mess up with.

I find this much easier to run than a 55 build...

i dont know why people are so afraid of the rockshots...

if you havent noticed, there are 3 skills on your bar that are long casts and dont matter if they are interrupted *cough* enchants *cough*

make the rockshots missuse their interrupt if you lure any..

um once agian running skill=waste of space becuz it is and the devourers pop out of the ground so therefore they dont plant traps, also it takes like 2 seconds to die

devourers wander around on set paths and trap traps which last for a measly minute an a half. I have never once been hit by a rockshot trap.

this is the exact same build i use. just never backtrack and you will never get hit by a rockshot trap... do all your long casts under bonetti's to avoid interrupts

I find remarks such as this one rather funny... I use an 8 health farming build and have no such trouble... not at all.

Although my build doesnt require any elites, and requires spells that can be gotten before and right at lions arch (of course it could change a little, but it's quite the easy build to set up)

Each to his own i guess, but ya... with the dp gone, health goes to 80, which is actually quite easy to heal... especially since most of them are dead.

Ya, i don't use any skills besides simple monk skills.

...hmm.. as u kill things it gets harder yes but its easy since breeze and prot spirit have lke 5 sec recasts and u can heal urself with divine favor.. also for this i dont armor swap some ppl do but i dont find the need

grifs is probably the easiest place to solo with a monk int he game. easiest way to run this is as follow:

mending
bath spirit
zealots
prot spirit
bonettis
healing breeze
bath aura
shield of judge

This is of course the generic mo/w build which im sure most people use, even though it is by far not the easiest lol. attribs should be set:

healing 13
smite 16
prot 11
divine 3

if you want to use the method of dying, which i infact recommend since it is by far the quickest if running mo/w. use the -20 focus so your health is 85, then just die.when rezzed you will have 13, cast mend, bath aura and the spirit as the minos will be onto you. i use a sickle with 20% long enchants which i use with my -20, i the round up all the minos on the way and then the grifs. from agroing the first 2 or 3 packs make your way to agro the rest, diagonally to pick the group by the bleached bones, then head down to the other corner. if rockshots are agroed DONT WORRY, after picking up the last pack, run with everything agroed along the southern wall back to where the other boss usually hangs out. the rockshots will only follow 1/100 runs gauranteed.from there breeze, zealots, shield of judge, prot spirit, bonettis, bath aura, then sit back, as soon as the xp starts showing get in bonettis, then swap to -50 focus. otherwise you run the risk of them hitting you below the threshold of living once the -50 is on.both bosses, and all minos and grifs dead in 4 mins max. 10M+ xp from farming just these on my monk.too easy. BTW i would just like to comment that a solo necro is much much much faster to solo grifs with, and the UW.solo necro UW runs 15 mins max, excluding coldfires of course, unless you want there precious white drops.

wow u know if u take this to the uw with prot spirit thats 1 dmg each time if you have support person like me just tell em to rebierth u mending will heal u every time u get hit then u can remove heal breeze as no need for it then you just put in zealots in for it would this work?
