they have glyph of concentration
and they spike with SoJ and banish
after that they use Bane Sig + Banish
with QZ down they get it half at speed for no energy cost

TSF, The Second Foundation, is the ONLY guild that came up with and master the 8 monk smite build. No other guild can come CLOSE to running this build like TSF. You can ask any top 100 team and they will tell you about the TSF "Classic Smite" build. Zelots fire is not a SMITE build for it does not do SMITE damage. It does Fire damage.

I should know I am the orginator, none greator.

I agree with Dion, I have seen many imitators, but no one has stuck with and excelled at it quite like TSF. I should know since I have personally played many imitator smite builds.
I really don't understand why people can't figure out smiting....
Maybe it's because people are stupid...
But the build does have great weaknesses. We can be owned by many types of builds and only GOOD players will be able to overcome whatever builds they encounter.
And we've lost 3 relic runs in the last 3 months... so we are well prepared for it.

I used to lots of smite groups with 4 smiters 2 prot 2 healers. The Ddamage was mostly aoe smiting but they also did bane signet holy strike for single target spikes. It works until you run into a group that brings well of profane then your screwed.

8 mo/me
heal area, heal seed, symbol of wrath, signet of judgement, bane signet, banish, mantra of resolve, res sig

haven't tried it in months or cared to try. there are surely much better builds than this very basic one.

I highly disagree since we've been running it for 5 months...and its nowhere close to what FoSa ran...we've made are changes to the Flavors we've seen and it is still effect; when the E/Mo Zealot's was overpowering-we ran the same build with 1 change to 2 characters that owned them completely....*edit for this >>* ohh yeah your IGN is Signet of Humility who wanted in our guild which we rejected...

Now now Thurston, you can calm down.

It is ok if you feel that TSF is dead. We have about 60 men on the roster 35-40 are on each night. We have always been hard on new members normally only inviting in people that are RL friends of the current members.

We do play Tombs every night and make it to halls almost every run we start. Because of the current mass interrupt ranger build and the way the ghost caps in halls it is a challenge to win in HOH. But as long as we consistently go to halls and we win our 8 or 9 maps to get there with little or no map skipping I am a very happy player.

I also like the fact that TSF never runs a FOTM or a cookie cutter build. We like to come up with crazy new ideas and try them out or tweak our current "Classic" setup.

as for GVG we don't much like GVG, I like the fast pace of Tombs and the different map objectives. It adds a complexity and helps to blur the redundancy that you get GVGing. Our GVG record for the little bit we play is not bad. As we all know the matching system is FUBAR and we have a 16 and 2 record. our 2 losses come 1 from IQ and the other from TE, those are rank 4 and 5 teams, nothing to be ashamed about in those losses.

We are just out to have fun and make friends. After all GW's wont be around forever.

Ive seen this build in tombs a few times, but not alot recently, itll probably be used more now its posted here as is the same with every gimmic build.

Its so boring to play against, they just ball up and SoJ/HS/Basnish on one person at a time, pretty much gg unless you got a decent prot monk, then it can take hours to get a result, if anything gets near the ball they all use SoW, theres usually a couple of seeds flying round in the ball, from what ive seen theres usually 8 monks, 1 healer, 1 martyr prot and 6 smiters, although i expect each of the smiters has a slightly different purpose and probably carry some AOE healing like area or DH.

Its not an invincible strategy, most of its success is down to the fact teams arent prepared for it, things get messy on the later maps due to its rigid formula and it usually gets ganged up on when theres more than 2 teams around.
