My experience with MF has shown me that EoE is definitely bugged. The area of effect is definitely outside of what it is supposed to be. As a more experienced minion master, I would stand well back while a map starts. Being in this position, I could look up and see that I did not have EoE on me, but the other minion master was calling that they had EoE on them... There is an animation that occurs when you are hit with EoE... This animation was taking place on ALL of my minions, even the ones standing right next to me. I KNOW that EoE was not on me, so I remember wondering why my minions would take damage when they aren't under the effect of EoE.

Someone probably figured out the bug range and is exploiting it to bomb before the timer starts... Perhaps the issue is that one of your OTHER teammates was standing in the EoE, so it somehow got passed on to your entire team?

I do not think they used godly haxors, but I do believe EoE is bugged, and I'm sure that you will see more tomb sessions end before the timer really starts until ANet fixes EoE...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go put together an EoE bomb to farm some fame... =)

if this is so, my theory is right, and the ANet programmers didn't do a good job with the security programming. These facts are pointing out that you can kind of "do what you want", if you know how to do it. That should get fixxed,

erm ... minions have a constant deregen on them, so they "take damage" all the time. And EoE only transfers damage from animal to animal and from player to player, no player can kill your little minion with EoE.

There was no animation. All just dropped.

I still can't think for 1 second that EoE can be completed from Base A to Base B while the doors are still opening.

for the underworld map we have cleared in min 8 secs

warrior charged us, we all rushed on bridge ranger dropped eoe while monk put their spells on resmer secs after eoe tell, then 1s spells were on resmer resmer used dwaynas. meanwhile eoe was about to drop.. & it works out pretty quickly..
& dont go for people who say they hacked or something, they just love to see new comers drop there jaws.. its no biggie

So you can do this as the gates r opening? and drop their whole team? If so meet me at tombs dist 1 and we'll get 200 fame real quick.

SO yeah, thanks for the lesson in minions and deREgen(heh), now tell us something we don't know.. To help your brain get around this, I mean that the animation that takes place when you're getting hit with EoE was taking place on ALL my minions. There is no way for me see damage being done to my minions other than the animation and their eventual death. If you think you can see the little bars over their heads, you haven't seen a good MF... If the other minion master was engaged in battle, surely he would be losing minions. The chain reaction eventually killed all our minions, despite EoE not being on ME and some minions standing right next to me.

The implication is that you may not see EoE on you, but you may still get hit with it.

And no, Bubba, you would not see the EoE effect animation on your team if you were killed with it. The chain reaction happens so quickly, there is no time to display it. You just fall dead. You SHOULD have seen the red health indicator though...

I have wondered if ANet would be so kind as to put in a damage log. Many times, I wish I could see why it is that I died.

So you're telling me EoE bombs can be dropped as the doors r opening, 1-2 seconds in.

I just can't believe that is possible.

IMO there was an error on the server like a net err 7 only we all got it and none of us got disonnected. Atleast i hope it was a rare case such as this - if it wasn't this then we have problems.

See, to me, I find it odd that you feel the situation was extraordinary enough to come on here and very boldly claim it was a hack and argue it until you are blue in the face, but it wasn't extraordinary enough to bother taking a screen shot.

The logic, you see, does not add up.

I'm not talking about a graph. I'm talking about a text log somewhere that you can scroll back through. I can think of no reason NOT to have something like this. It would certainly explain to Bubba if it was in fact, an edge bomb.

The point is, don't be surprised when people choose not to believe you. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim, not on others to disprove it.
