What about putting in an option to avoid all matches that have like more than an 1000 rank difference or does that seem unfair? I just think it would solve the problem completely :P

Apparently the new build addresses this problem.....haven't seen it in action yet so I don't know if it has worked or not.

After seeing Eternum Pariah #1 Ranked guild come up against a Unranked guild that had 4 henchies and no one above level 17.....I've lost all faith in the matchup system.

If they are the only two GvGing at the time the system doesn't have much choice. Remember if a team severely outranks you the point loss will be negligable. I seen top 100 teams run into rank 9000 teams (way below 1000 points, the consistantly lose.) The outranked team usually loses 1-2 points for the match. At the same time, if they pay attention they can see good builds in action and possibly learn a little. Then if they take anything they learned and win their next match, they will most likely make up three or four times what they lost that match.

If you get paired with a team that have a rating severely different than yours, that team was pretty much the only other opponent available. Remember large rating differences hurt high ranked guilds more than low ranked guilds. At most a low ranked guild loses a few points. A high ranked guild stands to lose a large amount of points when they lose to a lower ranked guild. While smurfing is less common, you can still run into smurfs and PuGs consisting of second accounts. Running into a guild that is ranked 1000, but plays like a top 100 is not something you really want to encounter on a high ranked guild.

Since the last update the matching system has been much, much better.

It was the norm before for the winners of probably 80% of the fights we were involved in to get less than 8 points, now its nearer, much nearer to that ideal 15 level most of the time. Sure there are still mismatches from time to time, but generally I would say it is better and noticeably so.

At the moment the match finding system is pretty good, no complaints here. We often go against top10 team and get completely rolled but thats just life.

The improvement on the matching system is working well. One thing we need to keep in mind is that the matching system can't match you if there are no teams of your rank playing at that given time!! I can't emphasize this enough.

If you watch the Observer Mode you will see that 85% of games played by the top 50 is played against teams within the top 150. I have already seen iQ, Te, Uni, EP, and such play against each other.

Play during peak hours and reset the guild battle arrangement every 2 minutes.
