But I never see them complain about lack of competition when someone else copies their build . . .

Default There are other variations on W/E

I use a variation of a build I discovered on this site not to long ago using the fire line. Rodgorts invocation coupled with severe artery and gash= 10 degen and 20% less health against soft targets with a little interruption help werre talking massive damage. I truly enjoy this build and it does not fall under the typical knockdown or air/lightning line.

Watch iQ vs EP and you'll see why this warrior setup is so effective. It's rather scary.

My W/E uses hammer for KD and Ward Against Melee for working on the W that is pressing my Mo or Me (if they don't out of area). Also helps prot those in the area from ranger attacks 50% of the time.

My prediction - everyone is going to be running warrior/ele axe spikers with gale because they are the best, until ch. 2 comes out and people play with warrior/assassin teleporting adrenal spikes. S-C-A-R-Y. Teleporting warriors... that can solo dish out 300ish damage and a deep wound in a spike timeframe. Adrenal assisted spikes means you can drop a spiker if you don't mind not spiking as often, and the teleport part of it means that you don't have to wait for the warrior(s) to run to their targets and telegraph the spike. Painful. Although personally, I think assassin/warriors with 16 dagger/15 critical are going to be very good as well. 3 assassin/warriors, 1 smite monk with Judge's Insight and Strength of Honor, 3 monks, 1 runner. Thats the build I'm gunna try to make my guild run, oh, about 3 days after ch. 2 comes out.

Chain Knockdown > Monks.

W/E is still beatable. A Mo/W with Bonnetti's Defense and Balanced Stance looks like it would be a pretty good counter to WM's build, for example. I'd expect to see a few guilds experimenting with this kind of thing before the ladder is reset, to see if it's viable.

Ward Against Melee only works against, surprise surprise, melee attacks. Not rangers.

I think I was watching one of the tournament games but it could have been just an ordinary gvg - I definitely saw a Mo/W with balanced stance, I didn't spec him long enough to see if he had bonetti's, but I'd bet he did.

Doesn't anyone use their OWN imagination and build something unique? Or does just everyone find out someone else's build and copy it?

This from most of the top rated guilds I've watched also. If you see a W/E you can be 99.9% sure it's going to be identical to any others you have seen.

That's pretty pathetic when a character has over 150 skills and you see the same skills on pratically every player of that type.

I haven't looked at the other classes yet like monks, ele's and mezzers and necros, but, somehow I expect I'm going to see a lot of the same there as well. Pretty pifitul people have to copy others builds instead of building something unique.
Criticizing is very easy, I know, but coming up with a better alternative is not. If you're so appalled by the lack of creativity, feel free to show us a better build. Creativity doesn't mean squat if there's a build that's clearly better than yours. This one happens to be very good, and I see no reason to use something inferior just because you want to be different.
