Default Sooo.... what next?

I'll be straight - I need to gain Fame
I've been playing Guild Wars for about 1 and a half month, an after PvPing alot in CA & TA and learning how to farm in UW & FoW it's time for me to get on the next level.
How do I do that? GvG? Tombs? Some other way? I'm pretty much stuck to Guru site, I dont know of many other sites.
I heard not many people will take low rank people in their GvG/Tomb groups, so how the heck am I supposed to gain higher rank?

Tombs:
Quick matches.
"Fame".
Sigils and other such rewards.
No real punishment for losing a battle.

GvG:
No rank snobbery, a good guild will try you out regardless of fame.
Can be annoying waiting for matches.
More diversity in builds you can run, and builds you will face.
A much more competitive and highly skilled game when you get to the top end of the ladder.

Ok I am slightly biased towards GvG, but tombs really has gone down hill a lot.

The problem I can see for you, is the amount of time you have played. One and a half months is not a lot. You wont have the Rank/Fame to get into anything buy the worst IWAY pugs in tombs, and you probably don't have the experience to get into a decent GvG guild as yet.

There are a lot of lower end PvP guilds recruiting, however. These can be a good way to get experience and eventually move up. I don't really reccomend standing round in Comp Arena AD1 and waiting for a guild invite, but it's just a stepping stone I guess.

I'll be straight, too.
Do not do PvP with this farmer mindset.
Fame was something to be earned through competition, not a farmable thing (and is no more).
Try not to bother about fame. Just play in PvP and have fun. Test silly builds, make good and memorable GvG battles, be creative, laugh and play. And try to give your best.

Well, I have PvPed alot really, I have all warrior/ranger/monk and some mesmer/elementalist skills unlocked. That's why I got bored of CA & TA PvP.
I have also trapper ranger and 55hp monk for UW, and warrior/monk with riposte build (for augury), all 3 are farmers.
I believe that I have learned pretty much everything about farming and CA/TA PvP, but it's true I only once tried Tombs and never GvG so I have absolutely no experience with that.
So you guys recommend a smaller guild first instead looking for a bigger one?

If you don't know anyone in a guild, with a smaller one you will only wait people for GVG..
Try a big one first as there are a lot of players so better odds that they are available for GVG.
WHat's happening after is that when you know well PvP people, you form a small guild with close and reliable GW friends, to focus on PvP.

If your going to start off in the tombs, buy this skill:'I Will avenge You.' You'll get plenty of use out of it..
