Or a curse nec, or a curse mez, or anyone with enchantment removal, or...

I wonder if shatter enchant spike would work, lol.

If anyone does, I announce in local: "I am a healer. I do not heal warriors who use mending on themselves. That means #4 on my team will get no healing. Kill him."

In one match, on the lava level, the opposing team had a good monk, and our Paladin-crippled offense couldn't outdamage him, and their offense couldn't get past my healing. So, sudden death rolled around, and we waited. And we waited.

About four minutes into sudden death, apparently someone on the other team remembers what I said, and targets the paladin. Up goes breeze, vigorous, and an orison or two. He dies about 15 seconds later, and the other team wins.

If all healers did this, maybe the whammos would learn that other people are better than they are at healing, and run some damage instead.
Well, that Wa/Mo is your teammate, does the word "teammate" mean anything to you? He can be a retard with IQ of 10, but he is still your teammate and you have responsibility to heal him.

Any healer who does this is ten thousand times worse than that poor Wamo, because he is a TRAITOR to his own team. In any army, you don't shoot your own soldier who doesn't fight well, you shoot the spy who helps the enemy.

Nah, I'm fine with monks doing that as long as we can still win. And usually, if there's a paladin who was n00b enough to deserve being excommunicated, the win will be up to us other players alone.

I give w/mos one chance, and then at the next game, if they deserve it, I say "X is a paladin. I do not heal paladins. Kill him please." Often people go for me anyways when I'm the monk, but a striking number of paladins leave after being ganked for 2 or 3 games straight.

As a monk I disagree with you strongly. In fact, you deserve the same as the supposed "noob" paladin.

We just did 6-1 gvg battles with all premade paladins and fighter hench.

Majority of guilds we faced were rank 3+ because we knew them.

Long live the paladin.

I bring my wa/mo to the CA sometimes, use mending all the time (only 3 heal for 2 regen), gives me -dmg (on enchant), + health(on enchant), which i like combined with the little bit of healing.

Yea strip enchantment would own me, but it is a random arena, if it happens once i dont put it up again, and there's always the chance of ending up vs a team without that skill, just as i could end up in a team without a dedicated healer.

Don't use the premade build and as a result many ppl do drop when i put my mending on.... hate that..... love it when i get a team that stays and get myself next to a monk / spellcaster, they dont realize that after i get my first hits in they r gonna be toast in 10secs, as i run faster then em so no running for me.

When the first fight goes well (no leavers) i have a hard time NOT getting 10 in a row and ending up vs a team.

PPL who suck in random arena and should stay outta there (in my humble opinion):

-All who leave before the fight has even started (ppl who see a wa/mo cast mending, ppl who have a Wa/X build and see no monk on their team, or just about anyone who goes "no monk...arrgh....*leaves*")

-Those who make a build which is simply there to annoy the other team into giving up but cant dmg anything (running rangers and such)

-ppl who generally start flaming others for their build... it's supposed to be fun

I think of all the ppl on my ignore list, it's mostly ppl i meet there, just to remember their name might i ever encounter them in PvE or in PvP again.

------------------
Best experience in the random arena's:
Getting a team with 2 wa/mo's (one me) and 2 other ppl (i think a ele and a ranger).... needless to say they left right at the start... the other team were total noobs, so we owned their asses. Next up we get a mesmer and a monk, we continue to win and get to 8 consecutive, then we meet the 2 leavers in the other team.... great fun....they got owned

I love the paladin build. Just use mending on me, healing hands on me, restore life on me, and we won't have any problems.

I tried it for awhile and I just put the enchantments on the spellcasters who I knew would be targeted before me, was I doing it wrong?

no.

but i dont understand why people hate it so much when a warrior enchants themselves.

Ima a necro and lets say i cast dark fury on myself. Are you going to flame me for that? probably not, some people are real @$$holes though...

All of you who farm with your axe warrior builds enchant yourselves with vigorous spirit.
"Oh no! a warrior just enchanted himself!!?? hes a noob for sure!"

nothing wrong with playing the game of Guild Wars.

From now on everytime i see one of you in-game use a spell on yourself,i will get all flamey with you just because i can.

oh no, a warrior just basically nullified all his hopes of having energy in exchange for 3 worthless regen! Now I know my team will succeed, we have a warrior with no energy but all-powerful 3 pips. Also, using mending on yourself is a pretty sure sign that i's a precon paladin build, which outputs low damage. The only people the paladin's defences are qualified to handle are other paladins.

Paladins suck. And mending youself is a prety sure sign of one. Everyone loved it when I was playing around with a smiting w/mo and put strength of honor on myself, though.

I wouldn't mind paladin premades if those people knew how much offensive power they were sacrificing for running mending. In CA, it's advisable to be somewhat self-sufficient (or just go in for the heck of it)-but use it in TA/8v8 and it's probably a sign of ignorance. 3 pips of regen is NOT going to save you from 3, 5 or 6 enemies wailing on you. Mending isn't needed in TA/8v8 because the monk can do it better. Period.

And besides, they should be laughed at, not shot.

Besides, a TF or Frenzy shock/gale warrior premade will be replacing the paladin soon. We won't see as many pallies in a while.

Some time ago I wanted to play warrior after playing elementalist for so long. I took the paladin build and took Healing Breeze, Strength og Honor and Judges Insight; instead og mending, sprint and healing hands.

I was the only monk (only secondary, but still) and we won 15 times, including some flawless...
To me it proved that it dosn't really matter which build you are useing, what really matters if you can play as a team.

This was CA, in GvG or Tombs this wouldn't work.

No they shouldn't. It pains me to say this, but the Paladin is currently the second strongest premade build (The strongest being the Fi boon healer). The Paladin actually has a fairly good damage output for "being so weak".

hmm i think the ivex trapper is better imo...basically he makes a good flagrunner, protector , and dmg dealer..the paladin is rather onesided one on one battle

After read page up and page down on how bad the paladin prebuild is, i posted it as a joke on my guild website. We actually desided to try it out now when the ladder is locked, and guess what? we won 5 times in a row! one beeing flawless.
Then we wanted to try this amazing build in Tombs. We had switched 1 paladin to a lifebonder/rebirth monk, we lost 2 and won 1.
All 8 didn't run the paladin build, becaurse 8xServer Artery and Gash is just way too stupid. But everyone was W/Mo

It is people who leaves when they see a W/Mo, that should be shot! Btw some of the highest ranked guilds uses a W/Mo ^^

I totally agree that the paladin build ain't good, but if the premade builds was perfect, there would be now reason to unlock any skills.

My guild ran 4 W/Mo pre-made paladins (no changes at all) today in TA and won most of our games. The only times we ran into problems were against 2 monks, as we no way of doing enough damage. With slight modifications we could've done much better.
