honestly, i hate when my teammates are like OMFG gay, were playing a rank guild under rank 100! i honestly think guild rank means nothing at all in tombs, unless they are a popular (ex, MAth or nyog). First of all, people act like the 5-8 people playing in a tombs group is the 8 that start in a gvg. Second, iway is kinda weak in gvg, meaning less experience vs iway, orless experience in tombs maybe. 3rd, i dont like iway group gettin easy fame, im like rank 4 but can play as good as/better than rank6, i only play it bcuz its the fastest to get a group under rank6 (balanced take forever and i only see r6+ balanced)

I'm wasnt complaining about iway, im complaining about people, and i maintain that complaint, petty as it is. Grats to Forlorn Savior for destroying my team today in record time on Scarred Earth, round 2. I'll do my best to learn from your builds.

I don't buy any of this about people woh are rank 3+ *having* to play iway to get r6. Im pretty sure these are people too lazy/not good enough to make their own teams. It is definitely a faster way of getting fame then iway.

You dont have to play for rank anymore, simply because there are a tiny number of ranked pugs being made anymore and those that do fail miserably.

You can thank IWAY for that

I agree with what you are saying, that player skill can get you pretty far but cant win. The combination of player skill+builds is what wins. You have to be able to have a team of players that supports eachother. If the ranger is bringing conflag+winter, but the eles have lightning armor, then there are many things wasted. You need to make sure your build is able to handle multiple maps against multiple kinds of teams. And to anyone who says you can just pick up a noob build like rspike or IWAY and win halls is wrong. I've had plenty of instances where im holding and theres complete noobs against us and we kill their hero at 1:57 and its game. You have to have strategy along with the good builds. The reason builds are powerful is that with common builds(edenail, rspike, IWAY) there are strategies already established. If you play in a build with a heavy adrenaline spike and a lot of hex pressure, wtf are u gonna do to take alter? There isnt basic strategies about to do this, dont do this, etc. My basic point: winning requires builds+player skill, not just one.

Is it just me....
I have played in IWAY teams since it was the only way to get a team lately, but I kept on losing in the first round. All the noobs r doing IWAY so it still doesnt make sence. Its not a fast way to get fame in my eyes! I went doing more serious balanced teams which works out way better.

@tom: wow reading comprehension maybe?</sarcasm> His point is a balanced team player actually developed their own build and didn't just put together a cookie cutter build design where they know I press 1 then 2 then 1 then 4 then 3 then....

My main problem with IWAY teams is that it lacks creativity everyone and their brother knows the basic build setup and runs the build mindlessly without learning anything. I had 4 of the IWAY wars running around chasing my monk for half the match while my spike team just picked off their team one by one. Not once did the 4 wars that started chasing me back off to say oh kill the eles even when it was obvious it was putting no pressure on me to heal the rest of the team while training 4 of them around in circles. It just made me sad to see such stupidity. IWAY cookie-cutter builds that the nubs run around using just breeds a lack of flexibility into the player. They don't know how to react when their one tactic isn't working for them.

Im really neither here nor there on anything even related to an opinion on iway or not. but i do have to say that this is all a real turnoff for anyone like myself looking to get into pvp or gvg. all i know is that i tried a few times with my ranger/mesmer to pvp and not only did i not find a team. all i could see was people asking for "GLF (insert cookie cutter build here) must be rank 3 or more".. it was really sad to see. and honestly the hostility i recieved by asking about getting into pvp was terrible. all and all i would say that if somthing isnt done to help new pvp players get into it. then its just gonna be all the same old crusty butts goin at it for favor in the tombs screaming "YA I OWNED YOU WITH MY NO BRIANS RANK 300 IWAY TEAM OF DOOM." so ya there is my 2 cents
