Default Rangers are expected to be a spiker?

Just from the info on this forum, I feel that the only thing ppl are expecting a ranger to be are spikers.

Which is fine and understandable, but I wounder how popular is the Crippling and Posioning ranger, is that any popular?

I would go as far to say the apply crippling ranger is just as, if not more, popular than the spike ranger these days.

Its good that you say so, and it seems you are speaking from experience.

I have some experience when one dick head asked the leader to kick me because I informed them that I will not be brining any wind due to my apply-crippling build.

sounds like you weren't in a group using a build that needed a cripshot ranger.... If Im the group leader and I ask you to do something and you say no... you had better believe that your gonna get a swift kick in the butt.
However, this only happends when I battle with unranked teams.

Psn+Cripple shot rangers are really popular specially in gvg matches...the help slow down other team while adding conditions...very helpful and can be of an annoyance to teh other team while at the same time be a runner if necessary

cripple is ( snare ) like Gale , wards ....
Psn is condition , make monk busy ....

It's true depend on what you guys trying to do .. if somebody bring gale then take something else instead of cripple , again it's depend on party leader ...
Again you will get kick from the team if you don't listen to the party leader.

Again those two skilz you mention is very useful in both HoH and GvG.

Depend on the group and party leader....

You have presumed wrongly to the interactions of the situation I have mentioned, and applied your valueless pride upon it.

Umm theres two clear points that I can make out of it...
(1) listen to party Leader
(2) Cripshot and Poison do two completely different things so more often than not you will see a party balance out between them. It's more practical to smoke a tgt with poison and have either a KD or Gale warrior pound the snot out of him, weather or not u get cripshot into the tgt doesnt matter... hes not gonna get away from a good KD or Gale War...

clear enough?

oh and further on point 1... if you dont listen to party leader, then dont expect to stay in group, when Im in a party the leader better have the balls to control the group or Im not interested in having ppl doing "their own thing"

PvP... is all about coordination and timming in my experience,

Best way to get in a high end halls group if you dont want to be a spiker is to be an oath trapper / spirit spammer.
I like to stick in apply poison sometimes as well just for fun.

the best way to get in a good group is find one and find a way to get inside that.

if they take you now you have to :

Play what the leader say.

if the leader say "I need a Oath shot ranger with 2 trap , fertile frozen and savage" you have 2 option.
1) yes sir!
2) no im pretty sure my build with clipping shot and aplly poison own!

if you reply with 1 you will play and maybe get fun.

if you reply 2 well the best thing you can expect is a polite "please play what i say" and if that dont lead to nothing... a kick
