Default Organised (prised) Tournaments

I was wondering if GW community would be interested in entering online tornaments with entry fees and rewards. It would be done under a certain organisation (I won't advertise, for details, pm me) that's already doing this for other games.

So fellow gamers, what do you think?

This is not about the CB or GvG ladder, the point is in the system of competitions everybody has an equal chance of getting a reward.

I may be mistaken, but it seems to me that everyone has an equal chance of getting a reward from the guild ladder also. Everyone starts on 1000 rating...

ESL, an organisation massively experienced in organising online gaming competitions tried very hard to organise a competitive Guild wars ladder but it has effectively died. Even their occasional knockout competitions are typically poorly attended.

Why?

People do GvG for official ratings points to climb the official ladder. They dont want to spend time doing what amounts to unrated unless they are build testing or recruit testing, and most have smurfs for this purpose anyway.

True. However, every match you would be playing here is a potential reward. There wouldn't be any ladder climbing.

And as for the equal skilled opponent is ment for a guild to fight an equally ranked guild because I don't see a point in a rank 2000+ guild taking on iQ for example for money.

Sorry for double posting, but I got a green light from the mods to post a few links (thank you).

Now, with more info, I'd like to see more opinions.
