Question Can't decide what proffesion to level.

Hello all, I am recently getting into guild wars again, after not playing for a year, and i cant decide what I want to level. I am thinking about a Monk, Mesmer, or Assasin.

I'm looking for a proffesion that is very good for pvp.

Thanks!

Monk or Warrior

If you are ever unsure of what kind of PvP you will do, or if you will even PvP at all monk or warrior are your best choices. They function great in all of PvE and they can be plugged into many PvP builds easily. They also function strong in all parts of PvP. You will be able to use these classes anywhere with a reasonable amount of success. Even if you aren't the most PvP experienced player.

All professions have a place in PvP. However, Monks are probably the most common, since they are in almost every build besides IWAY or gimmick builds. Mesmers are not so common, but still used, mainly as Surge/Burn mesmers. Assassins are too new for them to be included in FoTM builds, but it's likely they'll have some role too.

I've gone the monk and warrior path myself. Mesmers and necros scare and confuse me.

Go with what you most enjoy doing: if you get into PvPing, you'll most likley be identified with a specialty. So, you should make sure your specialty is something you enjoy, because it is what you will most often be asked to play.
